Back in Bludhaven after taking care of so business in Gotham. There was always a different feel between the two cities. Where Gotham’s streets were riddled with whack jobs from Arkham, Bludhaven was over run with gang wars and the night still ruled by the gang leaders.
But since Nightwing had shown up, he was starting to make himself known in this town. Taking down gangs, thugs, and any threat to the city. Mainly not taking long to get to the master of the plots after some time. Though enough for people to take notice.
During the day though, Dick Grayson was a civilian. And as a civilian, he usually spend his days training and searching cases. Though since spring classes had ended and he left Gotham, Dick wasn’t so sure he wanted to return to school.
He started to think about what he might be able to do during his time to help the city more. And at time law came to his mind. Whether he was going to look into it might be a bit though. He still had to set Nightwing as a threat against crime in this city.
Nightwing was now on the rooftop looking over the city. Listening into the police radios. The police in this town were just about as corrupt as the crime that ran it.
And that was why he was here. To make a difference in this place. To start on his own. And he was off to a rather fine start, even though it was a lot at times. Dick could manage it.
Nightwing was focus on scanning the city, his view computer in his mask setting pin points on some locations. And there were traces of communication from police and near by devices that might cause interference to a system within range of the scan.
He sat crouched on the edge of a high building. His right hand down for against the ledge for support. The left changing setting on the computer screen within his sight of the mask.

It wasn't an entirely long trip. Flying back from New York to Bludhaven. It certainly was an enjoyable trip. Everything was going so well. Starfire was back with the Titans, not on full time, but enough that she was defiantly on the team. She got to fight alongside her friends, but then she got to come back to Bludhaven. See another great friend, if not her greatest. Nightwing. Just with the swirl around a nearby building in Bludhaven. The scent. This was defiantly his town. Starfire was here to help. In anyway she could. They were a great team when they did fought. There was a small bubbled rush knowing she could be seeing him any time soon. Finding him. It wasn't so difficult. With her contrail behind she flew, Starfire looked out to see someone familiar. Already dressed in her Starfire attire, what purple fabric covered her. It was the colour of royalty. She would always be a tamaranean princess. Though here on Earth she was known as Starfire, The alien. Always finding a way to fit to this world and somehow she never quite could. A smile came to her face. Seeing the flash of blue in the moonlight. Perched up high. Already engaging with the city below him. No one had been more enticing than him to lead her into this world. She felt hardly alone.
"How's the view?"
Appearing before him as she floated before Nightwing and spoke kindly towards him. Her eyes catching how the suit streamlined his body. The black. The trademark blue stripe. Yes, she still had her cuddly version, it helped when the real version didn't visit her. Smiling softly Starfire could see his focus. His mind was working. Tracking the movements of the city. He was the greatest leader a team could ever had. Starfire didn't linger long before flying passed him. Planting her feet some steps behind him, with that gentle sound made when she flew, her contrail finally ended. Without the intensions of frightening him, Starfire placed a kind hand at his shoulder. Her green eyes looked over the city from where they stood from the roof top. It was a darkened city, but it had a different feel than Gotham did, there was that hint of a light and Starfire was sure he was that. Hope.
"Anything happening? I'm here to help, Dick."
Starfire asked in regards to the city below to what he was hearing. Her own eyes looked from him to the city, no doubt something would happen. Something always does. What ever it was Starfire was here to face it with him. So he didn't alway need to be alone. Saying his name softly. In a ways to greet him more personally as she knew there be less chances to call his name during the night. Not that she had objections to call him Nightwing. As her hand motioned gently at his shoulder, felt the fabric while mostly feeling the curve of his muscle. Assuring him that a friend. His best friend was here.

His attention was drawn away from watching over the city as the alien princess Kory flew into his view. Dick looked at her. Giving her most of his attention. He was still half alerted to the system following the police calls.
"It's fine. Clear night. Makes it easier to pick up on any activity," he said.
As Kory moved off to stand behind him, he felt her lay a hand on him as he pulled out a set of binoculars out. He took a closer look at the streets with it. He was picking up on a call, but not acting yet.
Still balancing himself on the ledge, he listened to Kory and felt her hand move along on his shoulder. He didn't motion at this movement.
"I've got a target in mind right now. Just waiting for the time," he said. Nightwing's view was still on the street as he had listened between Kory and a radio of a squad car.
[color=Blue["And I take it you mean by helping on the streets? Because the last time you asked me that, we ended up at your place and I recall we were suppose to be on watch on the east side of New York while the rest of the Titans patrolled their streets. Of course that was after we took down some bank robbers,"[/color] Dick spoke between watching the streets below and engage in conversation with Kory.
A slight smile came to his face to show he was joking around even with how serious he was reading as right now. He was just waiting for the right time. Any minute now and he'd be able to strike soon.
"And of course, I'm not objecting," Dick said.
Dropping the hint he wouldn't mind her company that night. He hadn't come to visit in a day or two since he had gotten caught up in his case work.
ooc: not sure why the last sentence of speech is not showing as blue, the end of the code is in there, just not active for some reason. Oh, well. Unless it is just my computer.

The view from where Starfire floated before Nightwing, wasn't a bad view either. Catching as he glimpsed up at her. Felt the comfort in that, he was given her his attention, but still alert to the city below. Multitasking. Tracing the way his hair fell just right around his eyes. His mask, it shaped his cheekbones very nicely. Following down to catch the skin that was exposed before disappearing into the sea of black and blue. So different that the Robin that once flew beside her, but somethings never changed. Hearing his voice. Somethings got better with age. Starfire smiled softly.
"Beautiful night! Who you spying on?"
Warmly expanding on Nightwing's comment on the night as Starfire moved closely behind him, almost beside him. It was a warm and clear night. Half wondering was he so easy to find, or she just knew where to look. Smiling amusingly to herself. Picking up on his words of activity and a target. There was something defiantly up, there always was, but all signs from Nightwing told her there was. Lightly asking who he was spying on, in slight teasing accusing manor, he after all was so crafty and so good at doing it. Knowing him he was probably trying to spy on several things at once. Planning to hit every target before there was even a sunrise. Starfire wasn't going to deny being beside Nightwing again, it felt right. They still made a good match, perhaps even better. There was just something different. He was still the Dick Grayson, she always knew he was, but still there was something different. He seemed stronger. Thats not simply from feeling him physically at the shoulder. Placing her hand warmly, not with a great deal of firmness. Showing him affection without stopping from him doing what he did best. He didn't move, but he was comfortable. At ease with her here. Like before, he had a plan. Waiting for the time to strike. She ran her hand, her orange fingers across his shoulders, before moving down. Sitting beside him. Good chance not for long. Her hands rested on either side of the ledge, as if ready to lift of into flight, while she sweetly dangled her orange legs over the edge. With gentle circles with her purple boots. Her own eyes looked to him and between the city, keep her eyes alert just as much. Teaming together, it just brought a thrill to it.
"Just say the word, GO!"
When it was time, she would jump on his cue. Starfire smiled it was going to be an interesting night and no way were they going to be short of victorious. After all this was what she was trained for. A warrior for battle. Never give up. There was nothing she couldn't face, especially with Nightwing. Brushing her fiery hair a little. Starfire caught the glimpse of a smile. So he wasn't all serious. She softly silently laughed. She wasn't naive knowing there was always more below the surface, but she liked when he was preparing for battle. Her eyes tracing him holding the binoculars. Following to wherever he was scanning below. There was some movements she could see, her eyesight was a little bit better than a human.
"I know… Your friends, said to say hi. I'll give Donna's hug, later?… Dick, did you ever see the ironic that your the bird with the see all lens thing"
There came a joyous sound in her words, that Nightwing wanted her company or least didn't mind. He was also good company. Smiling softly as if sinking into the comfortable place with a great ally. Her eyes trailed around the city before grazing him. Kindly passing on the greeting. She knew he wasn't in the position for the great conversations of the day right now and that was for good reasons. A part of knew he'd be happy to hear they were at least thinking about him, they caught him when they could she was sure by phone, but he wasn't always easy to get hold of. Knowingly asking it be better to give the hug later. Kory kindly spoke. If anyone knew Dick better than Kory, it was Donna. Probably better than anyone, maybe even himself. She was like a sister. A great sister. It had been some passing days and nights, since even Starfire had seen him. Caught in his work, but still that half hope she hadn't done something wrong. Sometimes the non communications was still something Starfire was getting used to. Donna reassured her it wasn't her, it was just Dick Grayson. To give him time and space, be there when she could. She was a great friend. Starfire loved her for it, offering great advice… Starfire playfully and amusingly noting the image of him perched high with the binoculars. Recalling he had showed her something about people finding birds, with binoculars. Though she was having trouble recalling what it was called as she pointed it out. She was more just thinking out loud. Not trying to distract him, but maybe help keep his mind fresh for battle.

"I'm not spying. I'm just keeping taps on a crook suspected of pulling a heist this afternoon. No one id the man. So, I got the footage from the bank and the police reports. I know this is the guy. I'm just waiting til he leads to a meet up with the brains of the plan. This guy certainly was not behind it," Dick started in at first.
The computer system id the man in a bank of locals in the town that he had record of. This was definitely the guy. He wanted to find the main lead on who is behind this. The sooner he could the head, the sooner he could cut it to the point and prevent them come continuing this work.
It also helped to know a few of the locals. There were a few that were willing to talk for once rather than to shake it from them. The holding someone over the edge of a building could get a bit over used too much in a week.
"Just follow my lead," he said in reply to her go comment.
He saw the guy move out of the build he had been standing in for some time now. He was making a slow move toward the alley. And Nightwing's best guess of course would be the meeting was there. Maybe a block down though.
"Yeah sure thing," Dick said, half his attention on the movement more now than before.
"And you mean when people are bird watching and are using binoculars to watch them with," Dick proposed as to what she was getting at with her comment.
He was pretty sure he got what she was saying. He often did, even if it didn't make much sense. Nighwing now stood up and stepped down from the ledge out of sight more as he backed down. He then crouched again to pier over the edge.
The suspect looked a bit frantic. And he knew the guy was now looking around. Even if the guy didn't look up in his direction, it was best to try and stay low at the time.
"Get down for a sec," he said as he grabbed Kory's arm to pull her down with him. He didn't mean it to be mean, but he didn't want to lose his position.

Slowing the movements of her legs. Starfire listened in on what Nightwing had to say. On whom they were tracking. Her green eyes at times looked to him, but mostly looked down below in the dim lit alley. Watching out for the movements of this man, but for now the building was still of much movements. She couldn't help a faint smile, her eyes glimpsing to Nightwing as he went on in detail. Painting the picture for her. It defiantly helped. So. There something more. Someone more at large and in charge. Brushing her red hair to see him better and smiled at his no spying words.
"You suspect there's more to it! How can you be sure he'll lead us to the main source?"
There wasn't much need to question it, Starfire could tell there was more than just a hunch as she nodded as she was understanding whom they were chasing after. Though curious if Nightwing was sure he was leading them to the mastermind behind it and not a middle man. Not that it mattered. The two titans could always find a way. She didn't overlook from the sounds, Nightwing had probably hadn't done much other than work and occasionally sleep. This was who he was, so she wasn't, too concerned? With a friendly smile, this wasn't the time. Though a part of her couldn't help admire he was making this Nightwing's city. The sounds weren't as loud up so high, but still sounds of cars. Even the gentle wind at times. Keeping her ears open to below. Picking up just faint out of place sounds. It be only a matter of time before this really began. Starfire's smile picked up as Nightwing said to follow him. There was no doubt.
"Of course."
Starfire would follow him anywhere. As she gently motioned her fingers to his hand as a friendly gesture. Barely brushing as Nightwing moved, so she pulled them back. Her eyes peered over the edge. Catching the man Nightwing was focusing on. That had to be him. Carefully watching as the man was making his moved toward the alley, keeping an eye out for anyone he might be meeting up with. Lifted her eyes to Nightwing as he spoke. With his words, Starfire wasn't exactly sure he had listened to her, but forgiven since he was focused. Although not to focused that he managed to catch what she said about the bird watching. Starfire was the alien on Earth, not making sense wasn't exactly new. Humans always had an opinion. Whether good or bad.
"Binoculars! Yes… Just the other way around, but your the better feathered kind… Mostly because you have no feathers."
As if it suddenly clicked. Starfire smiled as Nightwing said what the object was called, she knew it was on the tip of her tongue. Well, not really, but it was now. Sweetly smiled at him. Before confirming that was exactly the point she was trying to make, as weird as it sounded. Looked at him innocently, whenever had he thought less of her. As she signalled light with her hands she had just meant with him it was the other way around. He was the one on the hunt so to speak. Her eyes looked over him, he was better than any bird, winked at him. She wasn't trying to distract him, just trying to keep the peace. Her last words were spoken a lot lower in volume, as her eyes traced his suit and checked him out. Grinned playfully to him that she wasn't totally ashamed if he noticed. Her eyes shifted with Nightwing's movements. Making sure to keep herself close as he said to follow his lead. She couldn't trust him more. Her eyes had rested on him, watching what he was doing, before falling back down to the man below. Something was up, but before Starfire could really see. She felt the pull of her arm, not overly hard given her strength, but she allowed him. It felt nice his touch on her skin, even if gloved. He had a comforting touch even when rough. At his words, Starfire moved down with him. Not objecting to being close with him. The last thing they needed was the fiery space kitty to blow their cover.
"Greetings… We might need more than a second… Let me guess, not what you meant… Dick? Do you hear that?"
Being pulled down in a closer distance with him, it seemed a better time than any to properly greet him. Knowing she hadn't before. Smiling softly as she kept herself down low. Getting down. This close. Starfire joked lightly to him. Her hand reached out, tracing the shape of his jawline, lightly brushed his lips. Not denying the chemistry was always there. Her eyes played along as she lightly gestured, given there wasn't much time before the air truly became serious. It was time to focus. Her eyes weren't looking below, but her ears were picking up something. Was it car sounds getting closer? A sound of a door perhaps? Voices? Curiously her eyes ran over to Nightwing. Was she the only one hearing that.

Dick listens to her words confirming she got the message on what was going on. But her questioning of his action of know about the pattern that was to lead, well he could answer that.
"Like I said, I've kept tap on him," Dick replied. "This isn't the first time I've had to follow this guy and he has a habit of this."
As Nightwing, he had briefly explained what he had meant by know this information. He didn't need to go into detail on the cases since most of it was information only he knew as well as the people that worked with this guy. Though it seemed a few police officers knew of these actions as well and did nothing of it.
He knew there was something wrong with the system. And he was going to find away to fix that. But there weren't many opinions on how he could help with that.
"Kor, if I had feathers, something would be wrong," he stated. "Just because I go by Nightwing would make me into any sort of bird. I'm not like Gar."
He kept his attention focused. But still allowed for himself to interact with her as well as joke around a bit. Though no smile came to his face. He didn't have the time. He needed to keep an eye on this guy. If he lost him, he'd have wasted all this time and have to track him again.
As he had gotten down and then pulled Kory with him. At her words, he knew exactly what she was joking about. He did not make much acknowledgement to the subject at the time.
He had spent too much time on this case to risk losing the suspect. There was more to the case then just the bank heist he had told her about. There were a few things actually. But this was his chance to get in on it and take them down before something else went down.
Dick felt her hand pass over his jaw line and then his lips. He knew she knew this wasn't the time or place at the moment for that. At her last bit though, Nightwing look a glance around. He had been so focused on the guy the words Kory had been saying he hadn't caught the sound.
"What's the matter," Dick asked.
He looked back down toward the guy and saw him make a move heading into an alley a building over from them. He knew the guy would go further into the alley than on the side of the building.
"Come on," he said as he got up and headed toward the other ledge.
"It must have been what ever it is down in the alley," he said.

There was that glimmer in his eyes, that Starfire knew Nightwing had indeed kept track of this man. For longer than Starfire originally suspected, but she wasn't shocked. It was Nightwing. It was Dick Grayson. He worked hard. Sometimes too hard. Starfire smiled. She needn't know anymore as to how.
"I trust your word! He won't escape us!"
Motioning her hand to Nightwing's cheek, her fingers grazed the edge of his mask. Her eyes looked to his as she spoke. Starfire needed little encouragement to trust his word. To trust his lead. He didn't need any more concerns. As if he needed anymore hope, no matter what happened. Where this man lead them to. They would see this through. Ease his mind. He would lead them to victory. As always. With the warrior princess along his side. Starfire wouldn't run off on him. She would see this through with him. When all the city did little to help. Her hand motioned down. His chest, with a smile. Her eyes escaped back down over the ledge. At least he wasn't completely out of sight, out of mind. Hearing the amusement in his voice. Tracking her eyes back over to the shadow he made close by. Noting he wasn't smiling, perhaps saving it. She teased in her own mind. Her fingers trailed a little then at his arm. Feeling what was instead of feathers. It still very much moved her. As she gasped a silent sound. Her eyes looked his in a comforting way.
"There could never be anything wrong with the way that you look… Though, yes I like the way that you are."
Reassuring him, kindly. He knew she did not view the world like that. Starfire did not view him like that. Whether he had feathers. Whether he was green. Whether he had several more limbs. She had seen it all, but she could still see him for who he was. Although if he had feathers there be less reason for the suits and less reasons of things she could keep that reminded of him. Grinned a little brighter as her eyes ran over him, this was who he was. Not denying she liked him this way. Starfire fell down with him as he mentioned not being a bird, like Garth. She couldn't stop herself from laughing, but covering her laughs with the back of her hand. Muffled her sounds. So she wouldn't be heard from below. It just, with what happened earlier today. Her eyes amusingly ran over Nightwing.
"Nor do you fly into windows… How did you..? Did Victor get a hold of you?"
Starfire amusingly shook her head. Agreeing Nightwing was no bird, not like Garth. It was that sort of be there kind of moment. Garth was truly special, he was cute and funny a lot of the time. Her mind flashed at the Titan battle they had a few hours ago. Unlike most cities, New York got hit often in the day time. With the out there kind of creatures or all odd sizes and shapes. It had been a well matched battle. Turning her head towards Nightwing. Wondering if by chance had he known? As she asked him curiously. Smiling. She knew Cyborg would tried if not Roy. Having been the ones to give Garth a hard time over it, in play of course. Garth wasn't hurt, just a small bruise on his green head for mistaking the window for the sky. He was trying to show off… Laughing a little more. Smiled at Nightwing. Somehow, sometimes battles alongside friends, could bring some joy to it, but battles were hardly about joy. Starfire knew that… That was why he didn't respond to her words, though she knew he heard her. As he felt her touch in the close space. Though her eyes on him, Starfire was still switched on what was around them. Catching the sounds below. They were faint to a human, she guessed, but to her she could defiantly hear something. Someone was moving. Her eyes ran curiously over Nightwing to his question.
"Someone is moving further away… Someone is talking... I mean besides us."
Starfire responded as she listened in more intensely in a way she could maybe helpful. Hearing the footsteps upon the pavement. They were walking away from them. Further. Her eyes ran curiously his direction. She could almost make out voices. Not really hear what was being said. It was defiantly not themselves she was hearing, she smiled softly. Rolling from her back. Finding her knees. Her feet as Dick spoke. Following his lead. Kept a good cover as she could. Moved in a similar space. As silent as she could. Starfire stopped closely at the other ledge. Her green eyes peered down where he looked. It was harder for humans, with it being dark and all, but tamaraneans had keen eyesight. There was a darkened vehicle near the alley, someone had gotten out of. The man they had followed, yes was there. Starfire could see him… There was another, watching the man from the car move. They were talking. Something being exchanged?
"There's someone else down there, I can't hear what they're saying, but I can see he's giving the other something. … Could he be the one in charge?… Wait! Somethings wrong! He doesn't sound happy!"
Starfire was helping how she could. What she could see. She didn't know anything about this case, up until now. As she watched it unfold, perhaps this would make sense to Nightwing as she spoke to him. Faintly pointing to the figure, asking if that could be him, but so open. Starfire wasn't so sure. She couldn't help think there were more people involved, they just probably not revealing themselves. Listening something seemed off. Yelling? Perhaps there was a ransom. Not that Starfire was guessing. She was trying to listen in. Hearing other sounds. Was the man pleading? Starfire looked to Nightwing. She could almost hear a struggle, but it seemed out of place. Almost the muffled cries of a soft voice. A woman? A child? Her eyes searched, she knew something was up. What was this?

"How did I what," he asked at first. Then she brought up Victor?
At that he did turn his attention to her for a second. "What about Victor? Why would he get in contact with me," Dick replied to her.
He wondered just what she was getting at. And why she had even brought Victor up as a subject at this time. His glance was short lived as he looked back onto the street.
He was silent as they sat there. After he made the move he could hear more. Turning on the night vision, Dick could see the people below.
Dick did not answer Kory as he listened into the argument. It was getting rather loud. And he could hear other voices along with the one shouting and the other man pleading.
"This isn't good," Dick said flat out.
He watched on for a few more moments. Hearing more words exchanged. More pleads, This was definitely not what he had hoped to see, but the situation was worse than he had thought.
Then he saw the flicker of something silver being pulled out. And before Dick could give any warning to Kory, he jumped off the side of the building and threw a few wing-dings at the men holding guns in their hands. The aim was on and knocked the guns out of their hands.
And Nightwing landed before them and stood tall. "Not in my town," he said darkly as he moved in on who seemed to be the leader.
The guy reaching for another gun, but Nightwing pulls out an escrima stick and whacks it out of his hand. The other men stunned at first by the appearance of Nightwing before them. The man was walking backwards away from Nightwing before he brought forward a punch.
Nightwing dodged it with ease and quickly turned with three punches of his own to the man.

There were still some bubbled laughs, but Nightwing wasn't laughing. He wasn't even smiling. Uncovering her giggles and ran her hand through her hair. Then at his words. Starfire knew he hadn't heard. He almost looked puzzled. It was a be there kind of moment, but it almost seemed he didn't know she was talking about the Titans.
"Oh… I guess you didn't hear… During the fight today, Gar flew into a window… He's not hurt, but he was showing off. You know how he can be…"
Running her eyes over him as she spoke, watching to see if it was making sense now. Maybe he was further away from their lives than she thought. Did he not believe her when she told him she was a titan again? Where else did he expect her to be? As Starfire filled him in, not in detail. They didn't have the time, but he knew Gar as well as she did. Laughing softly again. He's always been quite funny. Though she frowned at his inquiry about Victor. Wasn't it clear to him. Starfire assumed it wasn't anything new. Unless Nightwing was expecting something bad had happened. That it wouldn't be just a social call. Did he not remember what friendship, meant?
"Because he's your friend. You remember tall, dark, half made of metal and with the warmest heart… From the way Victor and Roy joked, I just assumed… I knew they were having trouble keeping in touch with you… but you couldn't have forgotten them… Right?"
There was a little anger in her eyes. Wondering why he was confused his friend would contact him. Reaching her hand to him. Confused herself why she felt she needed to remind him. From what she knew Cyborg and Nightwing spoke a lot on the phone. Or they used to at least, generally about work. Certainly a friendly call happened every once and awhile. Perhaps something happened. As her anger went more concern. Looking to him, she must have assumed wrong that they would of called him. Starfire was aware from speaking to their friends. The titans. He wasn't making it easy to get a hold of, not that the titans tried as often, just as often as friends normally would. The whole on his own thing, she suspected. Which was fine. Mostly. Looking to him worriedly, had his friends truly slipped his mind? He just saw them a few weeks ago. Her eyes painfully asked as Starfire followed him across the ledge. She knew he couldn't of, but hoped he wouldn't all of a sudden forget her.
Falling in their stance. Both focused on below. Starfire hadn't meant to bring up problems. Just mentioning their friends. She really wasn't trying to pull him away from what was here. Her eyes followed him kindly, with a smile. Last thing he needed was to worry about more people, but she would like to think he thought about them fondly from time to time. Maybe not so much now. As they watched from above. The scene that was unfolding below. The sounds were getting louder, that it wasn't so hard to hear anymore. It was still a little unclear what exactly was going on, only that it shouldn't be happening. Her feet edged more over the ledge. Hearing the cries. There weren't just bad guys in this, by the sounds. Her eyes looked slightly saddened. Felt her own anger within. It was helped fuelled by Dick's remark. Starfire agreed with the shake of her head. This wasn't good. Not good at all. More men were down there. Seeing them reveal themselves. As the man pleaded. The suffering whimpers echoed. The hostages? Starfire gathered. They were struggling, caught. Starfire saw the flash of a knife. There wasn't much time left to watch. Just as Starfire curled up her fist in anger. Nightwing leaped from the ledge. To put himself right in the middle of the on coming fight.
The battle was on. With eyes glowing. Her hair burning flames. Starfire spread her arms. Fell into the scene below. In her own sea of orange and purple. Swooping down. A man closest to her brought out his gun to aim, but it was maybe to much for him. To see the angry alien princess charging towards him. Her hand reached out. His gun melted in seconds, falling down in ashes. As her other hand gripped at his throat. Threw him as well as a second man across the ground. Knocking one out and the other, very close to it. Just a groan escaped as his head met the hard ground. Starfire flew half swirl around, so she could get in position. Close to where Nightwing stood as the former leader of the Titans. Starfire glowed just over his shoulder. As her contrail was still faint through the air. Eyes and hands glowed. Ready for battle.
Keeping an eye out for Nightwing. To keep with the flow of their fight. Most of the men stunned. Soon they found their courage. Or was it stupidity? Starfire soon felt guns aiming at her. Fired. She turned to face them. Dodged some, but felt the bullets pinch her skin. Melting the bullets as they moved to mark her, but barely scratched. Glowing a little more. Some lowered their guns, but few kept shooting. She made sure to keep it in her direction. So Nightwing wouldn't be in the line. Then firing her own. As a fiery starbolt hit at man's feet. Throwing him backwards. They were understanding she wasn't human. Fearing if they ran, they wouldn't escape. Then the shouts of a man. To kill her, was probably helping. Wait? What? She heard the popping, but it was not in her line. Starfire wasn't so far from the ground. She felt the touch. The tug from the man, they had followed. Apologising? Starfire had warmed up to knock out who touched her, but his words stopped her. Pleading. To help them. Starfire spotting his family. Being held hostage. Not even counting what was around them. A shot came. Aimed at the man. Starfire was able to help, it just grazed his arm. She heard and felt the slight agony, but the look in his eyes. Starfire knew the death of his family would hurt more. Flung more starbolts. Knocking another firing man out.
"You have my word. Just stay here."
Starfire grabbed the man to help him to a more safer place. He didn't need to be the hero. She kindly entrusted in him that they would be saved. Even if he wasn't completely innocent, sometimes we make mistakes. Whatever they were, it wasn't worth the killing of those around him. They were innocent… Just as she got to her feet to fly. The was some waiting for her behind her. With a very weak struggle. Ended up with a knee in his gut and an elbow to his face. Moving in the direction of the hostages. A woman. Two children. Just as things were slightly unmatched for her. Out stepped a much larger man. Starfire wasn't exactly sure if he was a man. As she smashed a couple of things. Hearing the chuckle of a man she couldn't quite make out. Making a comment along the lines. 'You didn't think I'd come unprepared'. Starfire motioned to get the creature/man's attention. Glowing like fire.
"Nightwing?"
Starfire called out to him. Checking for position. As her eyes stared down whatever it was who was between her and the hostages that were threatened. They needed to be saved. There was no question, but this needed to be done more effectively.

Dick didn't get the chance to reply to her on the subject of Victor. Honestly, he wasn't sure which one she had meant. At the time, he was between paying attention to what she had been saying and focusing on keeping an eye on these people.
He had already jumped into action. Maybe also avoiding any argument that possibly had started if he had said anything further.
Nightwing was in attack mode at that point. Which in the first moments he had taken the guy down. His attention turning to the others. Know though that Kory could hold her own against this group of thugs. He turned and threw a few wing-dings at a few of them trying to pull out guns again.
Setting in full charge at a small group of them as they wanted to start something. This was not the time. He knew what was going on. He knew there were hostages. And he did not want to harm the man he had been following.
He has seen Kory take off to another direction. He knew the hostages were located near her. That was the likely place for Kory to care over at the time. She had the force is something came a long to challenge them more.
It was then when Kory called out his name, his attention was drawn to her. He saw the large man. He recalled someone who had been experimented on. Something to do with weapons and robotics. The man was partly restore because of the mechanics he was running on in part of his body.
But some lab testers were strengthening him up. An experiment lost at one point found in the hands of a street gang. Not quite like Bane since he wouldn't be that strong.
Nightwing turned away throwing netting to cast over the fallen men a moment ago. He charge toward Starfire and the creature human...what ever it was.
"Starfire, get to the hostages! Get them to safety," Dick yelled out.
He'd distract and try to take care of this thing as long as he could, Chances are it would be a fight for the two of them to best at. But he would have to do something to get others to safety. He expected Kory to follow his order. He knew what he was doing.
He's faced off worse. Nightwing charges in and throws a smoke pellet before he attacks from behind the thing with his escrima stick drawn.

This was not the time. Lives now depended on their heroes. Upon Nightwing Upon Starfire. Though she couldn't help look to him slightly torn, the last thing he needed was heated words and she suddenly felt as confused he was. Had to be a misunderstanding. Smiled to herself. He had been busy, he didn't need any more on his shoulders. As soon with her mighty Starfire power, found herself alongside Nightwing in the heat of the battle in the Alley. Charging her way through some of the thugs. There was enough of them to go around, but there was no doubt. No way she was going to give up. She knew Nightwing wouldn't. It felt good. Fighting alongside him. She was already strong, but she felt stronger. As she pushed through the fights. Before leading the man they had followed to safety. Turning soon to be faced with something close to a monster, but there was still a part, Kory could vaguely resemble to be human. A Cyborg? Shaking her head. This was different.
Starfire stood her ground. Her hands flashed a glow of her starbolts. As the creature approached. She felt the heat of the aggression for battle. Her natural instinct to fight. Hearing the whimpering, close behind. They were held at gun point. Just as the creature moved again and Starfire took height in the air. Came his voice. Direct and firm. As if she had heard it all her life. Starfire didn't look to him. Her eyes were on target, now shifted to the hostages. Balling her fist near her chest below her chin. Nodded her head in Nightwing's direction. Her eyes steadied slightly on the creature, its attention was on her. Starfire wait her move so she didn't attract it towards the hostages. With that Starfire heard. More felt Nightwing charge from somewhere behind her. Her lips smirked at the creature. He had this coming. As Starfire flew to where Nightwing had commanded. Just as the smoke pellet shot towards the creature. Distracting it and turned the attention upon himself.
Starfire was now faced with saving the hostages. The family. Knocking one of the armed thugs out with her fist. Half hearing the faint crushing of bones. She was a little ticked off, yes. Least it was direct. As her eyes fell upon the whimpers. The bodies bound up. Forced to their knees. The tears streamed down their cheeks. The mother was helpless to aid her children. It crumbled a rage through Starfire's heart. Not even flinching as the two thugs turned and shot several times. She shot her starbolts. Slamming them off their feet. A perfect aim just as a thug smirked. Cocked the gun at the woman's skull. Knocking him out cold. Straight away Starfire with her fists made for the ropes. Busting them out one by one. Their mouths free now, Starfire heard the gratitudes mixed with the fear. The sobs. A soft hand carefully aided at one of the children's head. Where there was a faint mark. Bruises in random places. It was painful to know this wasn't new to Starfire and still it pained her to see it. Just in a flash she recalled the mutilated children of her past, she was so close to being one of them. Her chest heaved with strength. She would set them free. She would not allow it. She could not allow it to happen again. Not in this world. Her lips sweetly kissed the small girl on the forehead. As she hugged Starfire for comforted and Starfire believed for hope. Only to find out the girl gave Starfire more. Soon the girl moved to huddle up with her mother. Their father had motioned as well. After Starfire had left a little more of a safer path, but it was hardly rid of all dangers. Just as Starfire was confident in the save. Came the sound of the man's "No". His cry. His plead rippled in her core. As she moved to see what Starfire believed to be the main man behind this. Who had instructed the creature. Just as the boy was free, the other child. In a matter of moments. Starfire didn't know how she let it, but she would stop this. She had to. As the man's hand was tightly holding the boy. The gun firm at his head. Feeling her fire burn inside. With knowing any slight ill way, if she was too slow or too quick it might end badly. Shifted her stance. Making as if she was backing down. Ceasing her starbolts. Fell to as if to her knees. Heard the father call out '"no" again, but directed at her. Knowing there was a chance Nightwing would help, but this he had asked of her. No told of her. To save them. To save them all. The man chuckled. Loosened his grip, before lowering. As if he had won. As if he could so easily make his move to slip away.
"I will never surrender!"
The space kitty known as Koriand'r was always smarter than she looked. She was a warrior. Trained by the Okaara. To fight until the death, only that was not permitted on Earth, unfortunate. As her eyes glowed. Felt the fiery aggression that had built. Her lips quivered as she spoke just as aggressive. The sweet side was gone. As her eyes aimed and shot. Flinging the man until his skull hit the wall. The faint smear of blood, he wasn't dead, but Starfire knew he was close. Just that part of her that was forced to hold back. Had she unleashed her true power, it would have dire results. Suddenly heard the rushing. The happier sounds of crying. As the father rushed to the boy. Through her aggression she found herself again. To smile. To nod. They needed to get out of here. To be a family.
"Go! No one will follow."
Starfire spoke lowly to towards them. With hope filled in her eyes. She would make sure their path was protected. With the last gratitude, they didn't waste much time. There was still a fight to be had. Hearing what ever was behind her, where kneeled… She knew her own family was calling. Picking herself up. Starfire was back in the air. Her energy was racing. As she moved back to help Nightwing. To help take down the creature together, but for all Starfire knew there could be more to this fight. Who's to say she had truly taken out the main man at the flash of her starbolt? As she flew she looked towards Nightwing to find her way alongside him. To be fighting as a family they once did before. As a unit, a bond of Titans. Her hands glowed. Ready for her starbolts, but something stirred her. That this creature was gonna be harder to hit.
