Wulfen was alittle confused by what she said. He then realized what she said. "Did I say thank you? Sorry that slipped out." He said. "I meant that you're one of the first two to not freak or try to attack me." He said with a slight chuckle.
He grinned when she pointed out the origin of the gangs name. "I'm guilty of not being super creative with my name." He said. "I sorta took my name from a game." He listened to her talk about the 'Sirens' he assumed that she was talking about the group she was with. "That your group?" He asked. He thought about what she said about the Crime Kings not being the only group messing with her group. He got an idea and grinned about it.
'Go ahead she might like it.' Lupin said.
'Well I'm not really a vet when it comes to things like this.'
'The worst she could do is say no.'
He looked at the woman and took a deep breath. "If you want." He began. "I could watch they're back." He offered. "I'd stay out of the way. But I understand if you'd want me to stay clear. I know I'm not much of a threat." He finished.
He nodded. "I'm trying to learn more about them now." He said. "My day job helps out abit. Though people keep thinking I want to write a book about them." He added with a laugh.

Shawty easily shrugs off his comment that she's only one of two that didn't freak or flee. "I'm not afraid of vigilantes," she says simply. Mostly because, at least by her own standard, she's not a criminal - similar to how the vigilantes probably feel about themselves, most likely. Though even a vigilante who decided that she is a criminal would definitely not say that she's a particularly bad one - she's done a very long list of illegal things, even though she was only ever caught by the law doing a few minor ones and not recently. A vigilante might disagree with many of her methods, but she's guessing that they'd largely agree with why she did it. They'd be more inclined to see her as someone in need of a stern lecture, not someone to hand to the police. So no, not afraid of them - compared to a lot of people she's dealt with, they're practically on her side.
She fails to comment on his name - it wouldn't have been good if she had, anyway. Instead she answers his question about the Sirens, "Used to be. I used to lead it, actually," she answers, "Clar's in charge now - I'm more of a sponsor of sorts." She no longer considers herself to be one of them, but she does care a lot about them.
Which is why his offer gets an instantly suspicious raise of her eyebrow. "You want to help protect them?" she asks, "Why?" He may not consider himself to be a threat to them, but as far as Shawty is concerned he could easily be one - either on purpose or on accident. And it's her habit to be exceedingly careful about exactly how much she trusts anyone to not harm anything she cares about. It's exactly why she makes such a good assistant for Dr. Stenet when it comes to her protective role, actually.

Wulfen grinned some at her reason why she's not freaking out. "Well lets just say that it feels nice being able to talk to someone while wearing this mask." He said. "Which might be why I'm not that great at it." He added. "And why I tripped up with that interview."
When he heard her say that she used to lead that group he looked her over and raised his eyebrows under his mask. "You used to lead it?" He asked. Then looked her over some more. "I'm guessing you were pretty good at it, eh?"
When she asked why he was offering to watch over the group. "Well." He began. "After seeing that." He said pointing down at the alley. "Lets just say that I'm not a huge fan of people getting picked on." He said looking at the woman. "I felt that if I could help out in some way, then I would gladly help. It could give me the experience I need." He said then he put is right hand out and said. "I understand completely if you don't like the idea." Then he chuckled. "And frankly I wouldn't blame you. I know I'm not much."

Shawty quickly shakes her head. "No, the reason why you tripped up is because the girl talking to you was someone who talked for her job. A lot. Not exactly a fair fight - I don't know how I'd do," she replies. Of course, she suspects that she'd get away from it without revealing anything unfortunate about her sex life, but that could largely be because she knows the fine art of not talking too much in those situations.
She isn't surprised when he seems to shift at her mentioning what role she'd had in the gang before. Even after taking down Rick so easily she probably doesn't look like much. It's her height, she knows. But his question gets a shrug and a, "Well, better than Clar." If you were to ask the Sirens, they'd tell you that Shawty was a really, really good leader. But she's been left with the sense that there's so much more she should have done during that time. Made sure that the younger ones, like Clar, were properly trained before she left, for example - the younger ones have grown into being the older ones and they're struggling. But she's her own worst critic.
Her lips purse a little as he explains his reasons, and she looks somewhat troubled. "Thing is... the Sirens are a gang. They fight dirty. I doubt someone like you would appreciate what they'd do if one of the Crime Kings showed up here alone and there was a group of them," she says very seriously, but then she raises a restraining finger, "Of course, they're not as 'bad' as a lot of other gangs can be - the girls who join it do it for protection, not money. They kill, but only when they have to prove that they're not afraid to or they're protecting eachother. They beat the crap out of people in other gangs - it can take a lot for the boys to take a group of girls seriously. And they steal, but not from other poor people unless they stole it first. But they don't do the drug thing and only buy weapons, not sell them. Is your moral code loose enough for that?" She continues to sound skeptical. As far as she's concerned, the Sirens only do what they have to, but a lot of people don't see it that way. Then again, a lot of people didn't grow up in east Gotham.
But even having said all that, there's another issue. "And the thing is, if a vigilante keeps helping them, they'd lose all their respect. I mean, you could probably get them to leave the girls alone when they think that you're around, but when they think you're not it would get worse. It's the same reason they don't quite take me seriously anymore - they know I'm just visiting," she adds with a deeper frown. She very much likes the idea of them having more protection, but if not done in the right way it would only make a bad situation worse. All she really accomplished herself today with the Crime Kings was give her girls a couple days of reprieve - when they're certain that Shawty isn't with them they'll be back.

Wulfen nodded in response to what she said about why his interview went. "Well there is that too." He said, then he cocked his head with a slight grin. "At least I kept her away from my past." He said. 'Even if I had to sacrifice something personal.' He thought.
He looks at her and suppresses a smile when she made a comment about the new leader. "Well I guess you had surprise on your side." He said. "I know you probably would have caught me off guard." He added. unlike some guys and vigilantes Wulfen had nothing against admitting that he wasn't the greatest fighter in existence.
Wulfen listened to the woman tell him about the Sirens. He leaned forward with a frown behind his mask as he thought about what she said. When she asked if his moral code was able to allow him to work with a gang he put his right hand to his lower jaw and thought. "Well." He began "I'm ok with fighting dirty. I'm guilty of using underhanded moves to get through a fight." He said. Then he paused and thought some more. "And as for the gun thing." He looked over where the gang was before. "I guess I could refrain from stopping them. Seeing as you make it sound like they don't go shooting up the gas station on a whim." He paused again and looked back at the woman. "Now if they go get a bunch of guns with the sole intent of killing someone who is innocent. Then I'll do something." He paused. "But only then."
He thought about the gang respect system. Or what ever it was called. "Well if that is your fear then I'll only step in when they truly need help." He said. Then shrugged some and said. "Or I could hang back until you give me the go ahead." He looked back to the alley and then back at the woman. "If you are ok with it that is." Then he paused some. "I know a few guerrilla tactics I could try and teach them some." He said. "I sorta used one just now." He added pointing at the fire escape that he had thrown the pole at before.

Her lips purse again at the mention of her being a surprise. "I did and I didn't," Shawty admits, "I grew up here - people were surprised awhile when I got good and people who don't know me are surprised, but after you hand someone their ass enough times people stop being surprised when you do it. Rick only did that to see if I've still got it - he probably thinks I'm a secretary now." And she has to admit that she enjoyed showing him that her skills are still sharp. They did fall off a bit when she went to college, but after Dr. Stenet told her what she needed it was easy enough to resharpen what had gotten rusty.
She's quick to shake her head when he talks about killing innocents. "Oh, anyone killed by a Siren deserves it, believe me. I can't say they wouldn't kill someone as an example but... they'd pick a good example. And honestly, the guns are only there because the other gangs have them - if someone has a gun and you don't, they suddenly don't hear very well. And if you have one and they don't, they suddenly become very good listeners," she replies, shrugging that off. Obviously she approves of the weapon, given that she carries one. That, and she seemed totally confident with it as she pointed it at Rick's head - she's done that before. And probably more times than a guy like Wulfen would be comfortable with, she's guessing.
But he definitely seems like a guy who just doesn't understand what it's like living in a place like this, and what he says next pretty much confirms it. "Look, it's not that hard: anything that makes my girls look weak is bad, very bad. If they get help from a vigilante, the others will think that they need help from a vigilante, and that's being weak," she explains, "About the best thing a vigilante could do for them is put some pressure on the other gangs so they don't have so much free time. If you do things that don't seem connected to my girls, then it can't hurt them."
The last thing he says causes a quick smirk as Shawty replies, "They know some too. Maybe you can trade tactics."

Wulfen listened to the woman talk and understood what she meant about surprising some people but then eventually loosing that factor. He had kinda become that way with world governments. But he still couldn't quite picture her fighting others off. Granted he knew she could do it because he had seen it. Also he didn't picture himself dressed as a werewolf.
He listened to her talking about the Sirens only killing those who deserve it. He agreed with that train of thought. But he didn't comment on that. After all this woman seemed to think he was one of those 'Don't kill' types. He was more of the 'Try to find every possible solution first then kill only as a last resort types.'
"I know what you mean about the guns." He said. "I've run across that quite a few times myself."
Then when he heard her comment about a vigilante helping them would make them look weak he got an idea. He snapped his fingers and jumped to his feet. "I got it!" He looked at her with a grin "How about I put pressure on the others gangs." He began and started pacing. "We could then make up a deal in which the Sirens 'beat me'" He said "We could make it look convincing. I could barely escape with my life and the other gangs could see it happen or something like that." He had a wide grin on his face. He really liked the idea.
"And yeah I guess I could trade a few tactics. Assuming they will like my idea of fake beating me up. Instead of really kill me."

Shawty doesn't assume that Wulfen is a 'no kill' type of vigilante. After all, in the broadcast with him perhaps the only thing he seemed certain of when it came to the issue of when it's okay to kill is that it is okay sometimes, even if he completely failed to pinpoint when that is. But what she'd gathered from his attempts to do so is that his vision for when it's acceptable is a lot narrower than either hers or the Siren's. There are times you have to be the one to strike first, that strike has to be a kill shot, and the lives of you and the people you care about need not be in peril at the time. Sometimes you just need someone dead - that's the long and short of it.
And she worries about the idea of this vigilante taking an interest in helping her girls if he can't understand that. If he gets the idea in his head that they should be sent to jail or juvie, that could be disastrous. But though she's worried about that, she's still keeping an open mind about him - some people can be quick to learn. Though his idea causes her to frown and question his ability to be one of those people. "That doesn't make them look strong," she informs him, "That makes you look weak. Very, very weak. Do you have any idea how many people already think that you're weak?" Okay, perhaps that's a bit harsh, but it's the truth of the matter.
"A better idea would be if you talked to my girls, and got information from them. Secretly - anyone finds out that they're talking to someone on your side of the law, they wouldn't be happy about it. But they can tell you where the other gangs are, what they're up to, the names of the guys who really need to get off the street, and where you'll probably find them. It would be good for the Sirens, because if other gangs get some of their older members locked up it'll weaken them, and good for you because you'd be able to do that job easier," she suggests, and then she smirks a little as she adds, "It would probably help your street cred too."

The problem Wulfen had was that he didn't know if he had the guts to kill. He knew he could fight others, he knew he could seriously harm others. But he didn't know if he could kill others. After all when it came to combat, he always tried to come out without having someone dead.
He couldn't help but chuckle when he heard her comment about how many people thought he was weak. "Well I'm pretty sure that the number is high." He said. "But I'm more interested in proving to myself that I'm not weak." He thought some. "At least right now."
He listened to her idea and nodded somewhat as he considered the idea. "Well..... I guess that would be a better idea." He smiled. "I can talk to them through a friend of mine." He smiled. "This guy I know is on the side of the law. But he's not going to enforce it. He avoids most forms of conflict." He said. He hoped she didn't realize he was talking about himself. But as Victor,

Shawty has to smirk to herself at that, but she doesn't comment on his need to prove that he isn't weak to himself. She suspects that if she was ever caught by the Scarecrow she'd be questioning that too, even though she's pretty well aware of where she fits in to the grand scheme of things - better than 99.9% of the population, but not immune to that .1% that she's more comparable to. And given the sheer number of people on the planet, that's still a lot of them that are better than her. Wulfen may even be one of them, though she suspects that if they were to ever come to blows she'd catch him by surprise even though he's seen her fight. Seeing her fight and facing her in a fight are completely different things.
Her lips purse a little as he goes on to say that he knows someone else who could talk to the girls for him that would be less conspicuous. The idea that it may be him without his costume does occur to her, but it's also quite likely that he really is referring to another person. But her response is the same either way, so she says, "That sounds fine to me. Though I hope you trust this guy - my girls are very, very serious about protecting eachother and don't trust outside people very easily. They will if I tell them to, but if your guy does anything to lose that trust, they'll probably hurt him. Or worse." Her voice is very serious as she adds that last bit - in fact her expression seems to indicate that it's more of a threat than a warning. The only people on the planet that Shawty is more protective of than Dr. Stenet is her girls.
And she still feels a bit uneasy about putting so much trust in a vigilante, but she has to admit that the Sirens could definitely use more help than she herself can give them. All will be well as long as no other gang catches her girls giving Wulfen information and he doesn't betray them. Though since there won't be a guy in a costume lurking around Siren territory and she actually suspects that if he gets to know the girls the odds that he'd turn on them would go down and not up, so this definitely sounds like something that will turn out okay.

Wulfen got up from the spot he was sitting and paced around acting as though he was thinking if a separate person would be willing to do this now that he knew what could possibly happen. When in reality he was thinking if he knew how to escape a bunch of girls who could very well possibly be armed to the teeth with all kinds of weapons.
"Well I might have to beg him but I'm sure he'll go through with it." He said after a while. "Tell your girls that he will be the one walking by while nervously looking around almost every corner." He said with a laugh. "Oh and his name is Victor Grant." He added.
"Oh and he's rather non-combative." He said. "He doesn't like to fight. So if he ticks off your girls he will probably try to talk them down or run." He laughed at that. "I scared him half to death when we first met. He can run quite a ways too." He finished with a laugh.
He looked at her and offered his hand for a shake. "So its a deal?"

Shawty watches him silently as he paces for a moment. Well, good, he's thinking this over carefully. There are much scarier things in Gotham than angry Sirens, but they're also not something to take lightly either. When he finally makes up his mind and describes the guy, she half-smiles at the picture that paints of the guy - sounds harmless enough. "I'll tell them," she says shaking his hand firmly, "And that'll help, though I'd suggest not ticking them off in the first place and that's hard to do on accident." It's not like her girls would shoot someone for breaking some invisible, unwritten rule that wouldn't make any sense to an outsider.
She pauses for just a moment, quickly mentally going over what he'll need to know just to make sure that she doesn't forget anything. "The Sirens have been hanging out in the alleyway just past 5th on the west side of the street lately," she says, turning to face the road and pointing to show him where, "They'll be there a couple more days, but they move where they hang all the time so make sure Victor pays them a visit before then. When he gets there, they'll be suspicious, but he'll just need to say his name and that he was sent by you and he'll be fine.
"Oh, and I should give you my number..." She reaches into her jacket and pulls out a pen and mini-notepad, hastily writing down her number on a page before tearing it off and handing it over. "You can give that to Victor too but do me a favor and memorize it, don't write it down or put it in anything and destroy that paper as soon as you don't need it. And unless it's a really bad emergency, send me a text - don't call," she instructs as she replaces the pad and pen. All of which may sound a bit odd, but Shawty can't risk having anything with the Sirens interfere with her job. "Any questions?" she asks, just in case he has any. If not, she thinks it's about time they went their separate ways. She still has a lot of stuff to do before her 'day off' is over.

Wulfen listened to her tell him where to find the Sirens. "Ok so just pass Fifth." He muttered clarifying it in his mind. "And don't worry if he purposely does something that will get them angry. He would have a reason." Then he shrugged. "I don't know what he would do that would get that reaction though." He added with a slight laugh.
He nodded when she told him what he had to do to let the Sirens know why he was there. He then took the note paper and put it in his pocket. 'I'm glad I had the sense to put pockets on this thing.' He thought.
When it appeared as thought the woman was finished talking he started to walk away then stopped and turned back to her. "And don't worry No one will find this with me." He said referring to her number.
He then turned and left. It was time to go 'tell' Victor about his new job.

Shawty nods to what he says, confirming that he has it right. She's only so worried about her girls in this - actually, she's more concerned that the vigilante will get himself hurt somehow, whether by running into trouble with the Sirens or one of the other gangs. Then again, if he does that's his problem - he's the one who decided to run around with a mask on.
"The obvious," she says with a shrug when he comments that he doesn't know what would tick the Sirens off - usually it's in the category of 'things that indicate that you have no concern for our well-being'. It's just that they're more inclined than average girls to respond to such offenses with a weapon than with tears or lectures. Mainly because in a place this rough that's simply what works.
But there's really not much more that needs to be said, so when he reassures her that he'll be careful with her number, she smiles at him and simply says, "Thanks." For that, for offering his help - such an all-encompassing single syllable.
Having said that, she turns back toward the fire escape, jogging down it with the practiced ease of someone who has run down a few fire escapes in their life - she's still more used to the lifestyle that she had here than she is the one with Dr. Stenet, if only because she's only been at that for a short time, while she spent years in this part of Gotham. But this is the life that prepared her so well for that one.
