Poison Ivy attempts to keep her attention on Harley, but she abruptly glances up when a hint of movement nearby catches her attention, and her eyebrows raise in surprise when she sees the Riddler approaching. Her eyes pointedly drift up and down his green suit - that's always been her favorite color. She smiles.
But that smile fades quickly at the way that Harley is so quick to dismiss him. She may only know this man by reputation, but she knows enough to be very careful. Then again, Harley has the threat of upsetting the Joker to protect her, and Poison Ivy has only herself. Not that being her isn't a substantial form of protection, but it's largely untested in the 'big leagues'. "Now, Harl, the man is only trying to help," she says, trying to diffuse the situation somewhat, before looking back at the Riddler. "Poison Ivy," she replies as her smile returns, introducing herself as she extends a gloved hand to him. The one with the vine wrapped around it, specifically, though as it hasn't moved independently since she got here. Yet.
But it's then that she suddenly hears a loud voice that so easily carries over the background noise of the other people in the room. It's then that she sees the clown prince himself and... well, that guy must be some sort of sidekick. Wonderful. When Harley glances her way, Ivy's expression grows questioning, but she now lapses into silence. At the moment, what's best for her is to keep quiet. She hasn't done a thing to offend anyone, after all. However, she has enough sympathy for Harley that she won't sit back if the woman either wants or needs her help to get out of this situation.

When Harley waved and insulted his candy, he visually winced and removed his hand immediately. It was such an odd action. Every time he had offered a candy to her before she had gladly squealed in delight and excitement saying something along the lines of ‘I luv your sweet tooth, Eddie’ or ‘Eddie this or Eddie that.’ She had never been so cold to him before. After all, he had been on the streets for seven years now and had his fair sharing with the Joker. He liked to think Harley the more sane person to deal with. Whatever the Joker had done to her tonight, must have really struck cord.
He frowned slightly. He was annoyed. He merely wanted Harley to introduce him to this woman, so he could speak with her. He hadn’t expected his ‘friend’ to leave him out to dry. He undid the wrapper to one of his candy and placed it in his mouth. No matter, he could find away around this. “Suit yourself dear,” he remarked and stuffed his other candy back in his pocket. He then heard the new woman coming to defend him…odd. She introduced herself. Well it look like he could still get what he needed. He smirked about ready to grab her hand in a friendly introduction when a loud familiar shout echoed in the Lounge.
Edward cringed. Shit, this was just getting worse and worse. He turned around to see the Joker storming up to him. How did the Joker manage to interrupt him every time Edward was doing something important?! It was a riddle that could only be created by the man! He immediately searched for the solution for this predicament, and the answer was clear.
Leave.
He thought he could easily slip off, but Joker then focused his attention on him. Hitting on her? Edward rolled his eyes as he rolled the candy into his mouth. One of Joker’s henchmen showed up, and since Edward cared little Rogue’s employees he had no care to remember the things name. “I certainly was not hitting on her,” he remarked, and to Edward, he honestly didn’t think he was. He acted that way with every woman whether he liked them or not. It came with his natural arrogance. “Merely offering her something to cheer her up, but obviously forgetting her heart made her rude to me,” he stated with a slight irritation. He did quite hate when people forgot their manners and intelligence….especially people he held some minimal respect for. “I’m smart enough to know when I’m not wanted or needed, and I also realize that you are the only person who can solve that riddle,” he nodded to Harley, not speaking directly at her because he was angry. The one thing every slightly intelligent person knows is to never hurt Edward’s pride, and Harley had done just that. He had no plans to speak with her anytime in the future. “I will be on my way then,” he said and turned back to the woman, “It was nice meeting you Miss Ivy. I would love to continue our conversation at another time.” It was the best clue he could give to her as he nodded politely. He knew better then to stay. “Farewell, Joker, I apologize for the miscommunication.” He then started to walk away. His cane clicking against the wood floor.

Scourge was on his right shoulder, his wingman. He had actually brought his new henchmen with him to give Harley a little room to cool off. Plus, he was also the first punching bag if any hero decided to raid the lounge, giving him time to escape. He had he uses but now he was simply here to make sure no-one slipped past the net, like Riddler was trying to.
The Joker allowed Riddle at least five steps on him, giving him the impression he had gotten away with it. When Nygma was almost out of reach, Joker shot out a spindly arm and hooked into the back of Ridller's collar. Yanking him bag like a badly behaved dog, Joker snarled as he passed him.
"Please remain seated until the ride has come to a complete stop...
The Joker idly tossed The Riddler back into the bar. Raising a hand and slapping it across Ed's face, Joker advanced. He had taken his smart ass crap for too long and he wasn't going to stand for it this time. Eddie had overstepped his arrogant boundaries, bad move when the man who would be affected would be Joker. Wisely, plant girl stayed quiet. She could clearly see that Joker was furious and not to be crossed. he was so full or rage and sone how just needed to vent his anger, something that was in her near vicinity. Unfortunately for him, that was Riddler. Harley he would deal with later, after he had a new problem. A riddle rhyming, green gartered, bowler bashing problem. This was it. Riddler had to die.
"Just like old times...
The Joker grabbed The Riddler by the lapels of his jacket and thrust him over the bar. Face to face, he treated the man. Reaching inside his jacket, Joker drew his six gun and rested the barrel on Riddler's forehead.
"You mock me, ridicule me, hit on my girl and then have the bare faced cheek to think you can just walk away from it all?!"
Riddler had just, unwillingly or not, made a very powerful enemy. Perhaps he wouldn't kill him, Joker thought. No, no. Killing's too good for that arrogant son of a bitch. But a beating. A right royal beating infront of a girl he's trying to score with? Now that'd be humiliating.
Joker dropped the six gun on the bar. Still clutching his lapels, Joker flung Riddler across the room and over a table, crashing to the floor. Joker turned, warning the girls and Scourge.
"Cover those eyes and ears folks..."
Joker placed one foot further infront of the other and raised his fists to cover his face.
"This is gunna get ugly..."

Scourge hid a knowing giggle as Riddler tried to do something as simple as just get up and leave. He always claimed to be so smart, but Scourge's could easily place him in the classification of moron. No one just...got up and left when the Joker was around. Not unless they were given permission, or unless they had been excused. Riddler's just seemed to think he could walk away with a top of the hat apology he was probably only using as a verbal escape route. No, Joker wouldn't have that. Neither would Scourge. He waited for permission to leap forward and skewer the Riddler freak with his claws, or perhaps a decent knife. But the command never came. Instead, Joker took the initiative, snatching Riddler mid step and throwing him back against the bar in an impressive display of superiority.
Scourge was well aware of how quickly things got ugly with the Joker. Riddler had obviously pissed the clown off, and Scourge knew from experiance that Joker wasn't the man you wanted to piss off. He wondered just how far Joker woukd go with this beating of his and took a step back. Not out of fear or caution, but to prepare himself to catch or pacify a flailing Riddler should he choose to resist. Every moron had to get their spankings. Riddler's was certainly overdue. As Joker called for hear no evil see no evil, Scourge opted to remain alert and drew a decent sized, black hued knife, a giddy smile passing across his face. "Take your beating like a big boy or I'll make you cry like a small one." Scourge snickered, flashing the knife in front of Riddler's face. "Daddeh J, I'm here to help." Scourge advised with a giggle, prepared for a blood fest.

Post by Oswald Cobblepot - The Penguin on Apr 26, 2012 16:09:14 GMT -5
Everything had been so peaceful. Oswald had been quietly working in his office, a call had come through about Harley entering the club but as the only reason she was on the list of arrivals to notify him about was because it usually meant the Joker wasn't far behind but when she seemed to be alone Oswald just left the camera feed in his office on and kept working. He wouldn't go near Harley without a good reason, specially when she was upset. That Ivy would was interesting enough to make him turn on the feed from the closest of the hidden microphones and listen in but again, he found little interest. A glance for Edward's introduction but that was hardly unexpected. Just rogues talking between themselves, a normal day, until the Joker arrived.
The moment the security guard was knocked out a silent alarm went off in the back, Oswald stopped working, thugs stopped their jobs and awaited orders with not so much as a peep heard outside in the lounge itself thanks to some very good sound proofing.
The bar staff were under orders to carry on like usual, serve drinks, hope they don't end up on the end of anyone's anger, duck out the way and get the guns behind the bar if needed. For the Joker it really wasn't advised, just like Oswald wouldn't let his goons march in guns blazing with the man. A dozen guns pointed at them might stop some rogues but you never knew if it would make it worse with the Joker which is why Oswald slammed the door to the private area open and appeared to be in a bad mood but alone. Truthfully so long as there was at least the bar staff and waitresses about there was generally someone to start shooting and there was also the dozen thugs behind the door but it was just Oswald who came out and headed for the scene.
"Joker! What did we agree about you breaking things in my club?!" He cared more about the club but the people were regulars so they counted a little bit, either way he wouldn't be pleased if the Joker took out anymore tables by throwing Edward around.

Harley felt bad about not accepting his candy but she was in such a bad mood it just kind of came out in a snapping manor. Of course Ivy told her to calm down which was something she needed to do for sure, and as she saw the Eddie walking away she called out to him even though the Joker was right there. But she was not going to let him just leave like that, plus the Joker would have no such thing, it went his way or no way... That is how it has always been and of course Harley followed it because she was in love with the crazy man. Even rogues as cruel as the those in the bar could feel love surly. "Oh Eddie... I am sorry, please don't go. I am sure Ivy would be interested in one of those riddles of yours!" Though as she spoke up the Joker had taken the Riddler by the collar and tossed him back. Harley jumped a little, he was not suppose to be fighting in the bar that was the arrangement that him and the Penguin has made... Though The Joker did as he pleased.... and Harley couldn't help but sigh.
Harley would not dare interrupt the Joker when he was working because she might get it to if she was not going to get it already when she went back home... If she were to intervene than it would end much worse for the woman. But than Scourge popped up and looked ready to get into the action and Harley scoffed at him. She disliked that man more than anything... He was always there up the Jokers butt and well it was annoying, how was she suppose to get time with him when his dog was right there! "Put that away before you poke your eye out! You little twit!' Harley was not afraid of him because he could do her no harm without fearing the consequences from the Joker. If anyone was to hurt her it would be Joker and Joker only. A special bond of the sorts connected them. So most of the time she could do or say as she pleased to the little weasel.
Than as the Joker tossed the Riddler upon the bar the man who owned the place came out, he did not look too happy. Harley scooted towards Ivy to make room for Joker and Riddler fighting, she did not want to get caught in the cross fire. Looking to Ivy she asked a simple question "Ivy would you want to leave..." Harley did not want to be around this right now, Eddie was her friend but Joker was her lover and she dared not cross that man. Scourge was irritating her and well she did not want to be around to feel the wrath of Oswald as he went at it with the Joker. Harley did like to fight and get a little messy but right now she was just not in the mood for any of it... Plus the Joker was mad and she rather not be in his way now... She would deal with what ever it was he wanted to scream and yell at her when she got home but right now Harley felt more in the need of either alone time or oddly enough some girl time. Ivy was just becoming her friend she thought... Still too soon to tell and with the rogues and what their plans were so she had to keep her guard up. There was just so much going on at the moment Harley's head was going all over the place. She could help but sigh and wait to see what happened next. Posting Order: Ivy, Riddler, Joker, Scourge, Penguin, Harley Please stay in order. Thank you!

Poison Ivy's smiles in slight surprise at the Riddler's words, giving a polite nod to indicate her understanding. He wants to talk to her? Well, that could be interesting! But she doesn't blame the man for wanting to beat a hasty retreat from the Joker. A part of her would like to do the same, actually, but for the moment she judges that she's better off staying put.
And her judgment proves to be completely sound when the Joker and his man ignore her completely and instead go after the Riddler. Normally she enjoys being the center of attention, but if that means being assaulted then she'd rather stay out of it. Not that she'd be easy to assault in the first place.
Which is why, when Harley asks, she's certainly not opposed to the idea of leaving while everyone's distracted. The Joker may not miss Harley leaving or even care if he does while he's busy with the Riddler, and she spots Oswald hurrying over to break it up. No time like the present. "Yes," she says simply, setting down her glass and getting to her feet as she starts heading for the exit, silently gesturing to Harley to come with and stay close.
It's a bit of a risk doing this, but one she can't help but take. Besides, even though she'd rather not get into a confrontation with the Joker, she suspects that she'd manage if it comes to that - she's quite well-armed at the moment. But hopefully nobody will notice them leaving until they're gone.

Edward was in a bad mood. He merely wanted a simple introduction with the new rogue on the scene. The Joker must have a radar for interrupting him at the worse time. The man, if you could call him a man, was severely inconvenient in Edward’s life. Similar to a ticking time bomb, Edward just wanted as much distance as possible. He wasn’t asking for something drastic, at least he didn’t consider it anything beyond a normal request. After all, he apologized and said his farewells. He took the steps forward, feeling agitated but successful in his escape.
He mentally shook his head at the situation ignoring Harley’s pleas. He would have to think of another way to speak with Miss. Ivy. Before he could ponder the thought any longer, he felt a grip on the back of his collar and then a choking feeling as he was yanked. He felt himself crash into the bar and the crack of glass and broken bottles underneath him. His first thought, admittedly, was Liquor on my custom Calvin Klein suit! His second was a bit more logical. Joker was mad, and he had decided to direct his anger at him. He pulled himself up, but he barely caught Joker’s taunting word before he was slapped. His mouth fell open in shock and a sharp sense of pain. While Edward was extremely furious at the entire situation- he hadn’t done anything wrong- he was smart enough to know that he needed to get away from the Clown before he was killed.
Unfortunately, he didn’t even have time to think of a plan before he was yanked forward and dragged over the bar. This certainly was not the first time he had come face to face with the Joker. Being a rogue meant you met the man on many occasions and on many occasions you made one comment and the man fell off the roof. He glanced at the angry smile face, but his eyes started to dart trying to form a plan. His cane was lost behind the bar somewhere, but he could always get another one. He then heard the accusatory statements as a gun was brought to his forehead. He swallowed uncomfortably as he felt his throat go dry.
“Now…Joker,” he stated to try to explain himself. He certainly had not hit on Harley….he also had not meant to mock the man….at least not to his face. He didn’t get the chance again because he was thrown. He closed his eyes tight, but tried to keep his body relax for the impact. He had been thrown around enough that he knew how to avoid broken bones. He let out an umph as he landed on a table and heard it collapse before completely landing on the ground. He groaned in pain for a moment just out of a natural response, but in truth the pain of landing on his back was nothing compared to the pain of his legs. His eyes opened and caught with the light.
Light.
A plan popped into his head just as he heard the steps of the Joker’s idiot henchmen. The henchman wasn’t something to worry about though. He was a dog and would only listen to the Joker, and if the Joker wanted him to feel pain….which he obviously did…he would do it himself.
Edward needed to leave now. He needed to get away from the Joker’s temper until hopefully he cooled down. He was a genius and therefore smart enough to know having the Joker on your bad side was not something you wanted to have. His eyes danced to the many lights of the area. His hand rammed into his pocket and grabbed his phone. His other hand grabbed the gun on in his waist belt. He pulled it out and pointed it at the Joker’s henchman who at this point was closer. Edward was also not stupid enough to point a gun at the Joker. It would only entice him more.
Edward’s hand on his phone began to quickly type in the things he wanted to know. He had hacked into Gotham Electrical grid so frequently he could almost do this with is eyes close. He only spared it a few parting glancing, but keeping his eyes focus on the situation above him.
“Joker, I promise you I had no intention of offending you today,” he muttered out annoyed.
He then heard Penguin shouting. Good. That should provide the needed time. “Riddle me this, where can a shadow never survive?” he said aloud to everyone or no one. It didn’t matter. At this point, a riddle was merely out of his OCD nature.
He then pressed the final button, shutting down the power grid for North End Gotham. The lights and everything else ran by electricity shutting down in the Iceberg.
