Helena had lifted the coffee mug to her lips. She grinned around the rim. "Ah, nah...at least yet. He's hurt pretty bad, he won't have a choice in whether he takes it easy or not. Though, you could take my laptop."

Hawkgirl smirks lightly as she sips her coffee, glad to have been able to find at least a little fragment of humor in the situation. But she knows that this stuff with the FBI is very serious business, and highly complex - not unlike a game of chess with all its many pieces. And it's hard to gauge exactly who has the upper hand at this point, though she has confidence that her side will win. They simply want it more, if nothing else.
"Your laptop?" she asks curiously, unaware of how that might relate.

Helena nodded seriously, but her mouth split into a grin soon after. “Yeah, my laptop. I may be smiling, but if I leave that thing here, Q'll find it and start looking up his theories on it. Now all that's good and fine with me, it's what he does after[/b] he's done finding all his information. He takes my computer apart and destroys it. It's evidence that could be linked back to me so he says.”[/color]
She took a deep breath, “I'd say he'll be right in this case. It's probably better to not have it around. Ya don't have to take it to your hideout, just somewhere safe, ya know. If something happens and I'm found out, it's best I not have it around. As Q says, it'll just be something to track me with. I don't want to worry him anymore than he already is.”

Hawkgirl smiles but nods in understanding. Oh, she can just imagine what the Question is like while deprived of his ability to move around freely. "If you want me to take it, then I can. My place would be terrible - it isn't exactly secure. But yes, I could hide it somewhere else, though I warn you that, depending on future circumstances, you might have a hard time getting it back. Might be better to hide it yourself, though I can guarantee that it won't be found by anyone else if I do it," she replies. It really depends on whether she needs it to be absolutely safe or wants it to be at all convenient.

“I'd really rather you hide it.” She told Hawkgirl. “Difficulty getting it can be handled if and when it happens, but if I hide it...Q will find it. Though part of me feels guilty for doing that...I mean he's deprived of all else, what will destroying my computer harm? I could just get from my school on loan to me and let the man have his fun.” Helena sighed. “I hate to see him locked up like he is.”

That prompts a sympathetic half-smile from Hawkgirl. "Well, that's up to you. Though I'm not planning on staying much longer than it takes to finish this - I should be patrolling - so now is the time to decide," she comments as she indicates her mostly empty cup. "There's not much that can be done except to make sure that he rests at this point," she points out, "So the question is, how much is making it easier for him to sit still worth to you, and is it worth more than the price of a new computer?"
She finds herself suddenly thinking about what Hro's like when he's injured. It's not something that happened very often, given his strength and skills, but when he was... Does she ever miss him. But, as always, she keeps any thoughts of home to herself. They don't come to her very often anymore.

“You better be on your patrol, with your information, I'm sure I can find his car once he wakes up and I tell him where I'm going.” Helena told her. “His comfort is worth anything to me, price isn't an issue and my computer is under warranty and I'm a Bertinelli after all. You can leave it, I've changed my mind.”
She finished her cup of coffee and looked back at the pot, she moved to get her another. “Want some to go, I've got a thermos you can borrow...well, you can keep it. They're not expensive all things considered.”

Sipping up the last of her coffee, Hawkgirl nods. Yeah, she thought that the laptop would be sacrificed the way she put that. It would be cruel to leave Question with nothing to occupy his time with. Her own cup empty, she stands and stretches her wings, but only a little and she's careful that they don't bump anything. Being indoors is annoying that way.
When offered more coffee, she's quick to decline. "No, that's alright. The one's doing a good job waking me back up, and I think that carrying a thermos on patrol would spoil the impression I like to make," she says with a smirk. There's just something about a thermos that detracts from the idea of 'fierce'.
