Dick had remained in the Batcave for the passed few minutes. He was typing in as quickly as he could the codes and passwords to enter the system to get a signal reading on Batman's where abouts. It's not like he didn't know how to get into the system. Though he was no Barbara at getting a system up running the way things should be.
He was more of the computer hacking type as well as figuring out how to run his own system. It's what he specialized in when it came to having to deal with security systems and computer programs that they needed information off of. Even with the few system changes, Dick didn't have time to sit and figure away through all the security Bruce had probably had programed in it.
Dick continued to work at the computer, picking away at the system and activating the silent tracking signal. It didn't take him long to manage to find the program for it and it only took a few seconds more to get it working. He looked at another screen to his right to check over the reading.
There on the screen showed a map of the city. And along with it was the mark of the tracking device. He had gotten the silent reading on it. It showed that Batman was at the location Dick was hoping he would get to.
Dick sat back a bit in the chair and relaxed at the sight and now knowing that Batman was dealing with Catwoman. He wasn't sure what might go down, but now he didn't have to run out and check on what was going on for himself.
He'd deal with Bruce when he got back if he was going to lecture him on his ways of trying to get a hold of him. He hoped that Batman hadn't picked up on anything of the cell phone call between the two of them before he had tried to contact Batman. He'd have to try and find away around it for the time being. He had promised Selina he wouldn't say anything about her identity. It was part of the agreement. He wouldn't say anything unless she asked.
Dick was glad though that Batman had gotten there. He just had no idea at the moment what was going down between Catwoman, Hawkgirl, and the Batman. That wasn't exactly the best combination of people to be standing on a roof together.

Unseen blue eyes scanned the readout the white digital lenses that his face mask sheathed in its eyeholes. Hawkgirl’s own tone and terms were just as firm and yet she was willing to back off, and that was all he truly was asking for when boiling through his threatening/threatened demeanor. Silence would meet most of Hawkgirl’s response now as his dark, cape wrapped powerful form seemed to subtly move closer to Catwoman’s being—he had caught sight of her claw-laced gloved hand slipping towards the confines of her own suit, a movement that could easily complicate the current complex situation tenfold. Upon Shayera’s information over what had happened to the Question, again he seemed to bristle, no he wasn’t aware of the Question and that disturbing situation. This was news and news that clearly seemed to upset him further with the way his teeth grit, his jaw stiffening.
[glow=navy,2,300]“My understanding of the Federal Bureau’s involvement within Gotham has nothing to do with them improving the safety and justice the city deserves. That’s more than enough to get my attention the wrong way.” [/glow]
A nod was then given to Hawkgirl as the delicate understanding of each other’s methods came into play.
[glow=navy,2,300]“I can handle that—with something as severe as the Question having been apprehended, outside help won’t be disregarded for sake of keeping this city from falling apart at the seams." [/glow]
He then moved like lightning gloved hands almost wrapping about Catwoman’s stop her from whatever item/device she had withdrawn, but then paused in their movement. Catwoman had taken to cuffing herself before the two heroes—one valiant, one vigilante. His eerie sharp white gaze moved to study Catwoman a moment, and maybe—though it could’ve been a trick of the shadows about him—maybe a bemused ghost quirking of his lips was seen, maybe.
[glow=navy,2,300]“Ever known me to be any other way?” [/glow]His retort countered her little banter of a question about his prompt nature.
His focus turned back to Hawkgirl, [glow=navy,2,300]“If you chose to run patrol of Gotham, then I trust your intentions as long as you realize the sides drawn of the good versing the bad are a whole different kind of black and white here. Unlikely alliances or temporary truces are now a possibility—anything to get these damned Feds out of my city. You have my help if I have yours.” [/glow]
He gave another glance about and suddenly before Catwoman could even bat an eye, a new pair of smaller, oddly shaped cuffs were placed over the digits of her fingers—making it impossible for her to unsheathe her claws.
[glow=navy,2,300]“And that’s because I do watch ALL of the time.” [/glow]He stated in a low growl to Catwoman, now keeping her close to his form—just in case.
He glanced to Hawkgirl,[glow=navy,2,300] “For now, given our location being on my old patrol route, Federal surveillance is everywhere. I’ll be in touch with you soon.” [/glow]
His free hand moved out from beneath the confines of his cape, holding one of his many notorious grapple guns taken from his hidden, faint gold, gadet laced utility belt--signifying his intention to depart.

When Catwoman talks to her, Hawkgirl merely takes a moment to give the woman a long, hard stare. Exactly the same sort of look that a hungry eagle might give a kitten it was considering for lunch. But her eyes are quick to shift back over to Batman - like she said, the woman is his criminal to deal with now. But she doesn't miss the exchange between the bat and the cat, and in spite of her partly obscured face what can be seen and the particular tilt of her head ask him an unspoken question: Her? Really?
But she has more important things to do than to question who Batman associates with. Like being pleased that Batman isn't going to make things harder by refusing to acknowledge the gravity of the situation. Frankly, she has to do what she has to do here in Gotham whether she gets Batman's approval or not - though of course she greatly prefers not to have to worry about him on top of everything else.
"I know that all of the vigilantes have had to be more careful - more careful means less work gets done. And while the FBI have actually managed to clean up much of the petty street crime, the real threats keep slipping through their fingers only to hide and stew - soon to boil over. You need someone who may be able to work peaceably alongside these overzealous officials to keep the damage done as small as possible," she says, quickly describing the role she sees herself filling here and now.
And yet, contained within that casual statement is a hidden clue that she hopes only Batman will note; though she spoke so carelessly to Catwoman several moments ago about how the FBI have not come after her, she said that she 'may' be able to work alongside them. 'May', not 'can', and Hawkgirl is an intelligent woman who chooses her words carefully. All she really knows about that is that the FBI have not made a move against her. Doesn't mean that they won't, only means that they haven't. So she doesn't know that she's immune to them. She has a mission here that goes beyond patrolling, though she'd rather not talk about it in front of Catwoman. Some things are better kept in a small circle.
When Batman notes the lack of certain security about this location, she nods, but comments, "Very soon, there's something else I need to tell you, but it's not urgent." And the fact that she's not just blurting it out now hints that it's not for all ears. "Just do me a favor and put visiting Question high on your 'to do' list. He should be well enough to talk by now. He's with Huntress, and you'll probably need both of them before this is over." It would be practically impossible for someone like the Question to be caught by someone and escape without gaining valuable information about them - the man's eye for detail rivals Batman's, and his paranoia is even worse. And Hawkgirl already said that she was disturbed by what she's heard, and she doesn't doubt that she didn't hear the worst of it.

“Seriously, don't you have better things to spend your time on...” She would breathe out, glaring at him, and then at Hawkgirl. For once, she was being silent and refraining from her usual smartass remarks. Why this time of all? Because she was willing to prance her theft-happy self out just to find him? No. Not at all. It was mostly because she'd heard him yap about these topics before, and she was mildly curious to see if Righteous-girl over there was just going to allow Batman to take Catwoman with no questions.
But his little antics hadn't gone unnoticed. But that was for later. She wasn't going to tease him on her normal par when there was some serious business to be had. And the fact she had gone far enough to cuff herself was clearly showing how important this was to her. Listening, she just eyed Batman. He'd almost smiled. Or at least as much as he would do with company around. Almost shocked, she turned her attention to shoot one of those 'what the hell' glances she was all too good at up at him. He had shifted, almost gliding to close the distance between them. Not that she was going to complain, the chill fall weather wasn't that great on a rooftop unless you engaged in activity. And they usually were.
Instead she listened a bit more to the banter, her cuffed hands toying with the little finger-trap like devices that she soon found out really did incapacitate her claws. Creative at the very least. Sweet, if she wanted to put that much thought into his efforts. But as that gravelly tone changed, Selina perked up a bit, ever vigilant as it seemed the very air around Batman shifted. He was done lecturing, whatever tentative truce formed between the two winged ones.
Raising her doubly cuffed fingers, Catwoman wriggled them at Hawkgirl. “Another time, perhaps. Always lovely to meet a new, masked face. Especially a woman. The men tend to dominate around here, no matter what side they tend to fall.” A smirk crossed her lips as she saw his sign from the corner of her eye. That damn mechanized gun. He must be getting antsy. Despite how close she was to him, and the edge of the roof, she still took that first step forward, curiosity ever burning through her veins to see if his reflexes were still as sharp as she remembered.

Though his side was facing Hawkgirl now, his attention was completely on the winged hero by combing through her phrased words. He had assumed she had some sort of immunity with the Feds given her well-liked status from the press and the constant association with Metropolis’ Superman law enforcement seemed to tie her in with. Still, given her offer of acting as something of a possible liaison between the FBI and he happened to indicate she may very well be listed as one of the Feds’ “MOST WANTED”, after all. However, given her undetected entrance to the city and taking on role of guardian by surveying the rooftops ready to apprehend any crime, her threat level to the FBI had to be little to nil. She was harboring some sort of favored behavior and rather than irk him, it actually interested him—especially given her proposal to walk that finely bordered fence. Not to mention, he was a little more inclined to give respect and value to those who walked between worlds, making them independent, strong, and observant thinkers not swayed entirely by one faction of either side or the other. [glow=navy,2,300]“‘Alongside’ being the operative term. Don’t jeopardize yourself in the process, Hawkgirl—not on my behalf.” [/glow]
Suddenly his other hand free of the grapple gun now shifted beneath the wrap of his cape and then tossed a gadget to her. It was a small, privatized high-tech communicator. [glow=navy,2,300]“Two-way long range communicator. You can reach me on this frequency anytime, just like I can reach you.”[/glow]
Her advice taken into account about Question and Huntress, a silent nod was given. [glow=navy,2,300]“I plan to make an appearance. Count on it.”[/glow] With that? The moment Catwoman stepped a little closer to him a sudden and fierce grip was given to the curve of her lithe, slinky form. [glow=navy,2,300]“Speaking of fall—hold tight.”[/glow] With that? The grapple gun was aimed and then shot off towards the closest over shadowing building beside their rooftop. The chord pulled taut and both dark clad forms now ascended at silent, near break neck speed only to swoop down through the aisle of the skyscrapers to either side of them. His cape fanned out to even the dramatic grappled swing between the gothic towering structures, disappearing into the inky night.
((OOC: To be continued with/for Catwoman only in new thread labeled: “Bat and Cat, Tit for Tat”))

Hawkgirl's reputation as a superheroine is practically untainted. She may not enjoy the same level of public popularity as some of the other senior members of the Justice League, but she's been largely immune from the occasional slip-ups some of the others have had. About the worst that can be said about her is that she does kill - and is completely unhesitating about doing so, actually - but never a human or anyone who could obviously be arrested instead. And though she has no 'quick and easy' weaknesses like Superman, she's also considerably weaker than him and other similar heroes so pretty much anyone would see her as a lesser threat.
"Of course," she replies to Batman as if it doesn't need to be said, "I'd hardly work with them while they're acting like this." Like Superman, she's known to help the police directly when asked but she has her limits and the FBI are going beyond them. And yet, there's something about her tone that makes it seem like she's leaving something unsaid.
She catches the communicator easily, and nods to his explanation as well as his comment on Question and Huntress. Good, that means that she doesn't have to worry about them. Though the little device could actually prove problematic - she'll have to ponder upon whether or not it's a good idea to keep it. In the short term, maybe, but after that...
"See you around," she says to Batman as he makes his departure, though she blatantly ignores Catwoman's own farewell - obviously she's not a fan. Instead she spreads her wings and launches herself into the night sky, practically disappearing into the darkness after the first powerful flap of her wings, though the sound of her wingbeats as she speeds up can be heard going quickly into the distance.
