Selina let her head drop. With the helmet on, it was a different gesture, the headpiece nearly resting on Nightwing's back. Men. It didn't matter if they wore suits, jeans, or tight-spandex and carbon-fiber onesies. "It's not just in his words, 'Wing. It's what he's not saying. It's how he's fighting, how he's tracking in the night...and how he's slipping up." Selina let her hand shift to his right thigh, hoping he'd take the message and take the next street.
"And more are getting away with a lot. And trust me, I know you can't just chit-chat with him. But either there is...a woman in his life, or something is seriously getting to him. He needs to get get laid, or get his shit straight. Therapy, his fists...or a chat over coffee. Do it." She nearly snarled, realizing she was getting repetitious.

He felt the lightness of the helmet on his back as Catwoman seemed to rest forward a bit. He had a feeling she probably knew she was getting nowhere fast with him at the moment. "He could just be feeling a bit off," Dick replied. "Everyone has their little slip ups every now and then. Even the Dark Knight."
No matter how dumb it sounded, he felt it was true. Stress could cause a lot of problems. And he was carrying quite a bit of it himself with all that had been going on. He had had his slip ups as well. His Achilles tendon being one of the most recent. The brace had been working well on his right leg. He had found away to disgust it enough the it was barely noticeable to anyone that looked at his legs. It was only through close comparsion that one would notice that there was a bit more protection provided on his lower right leg,
The support of the specially designed brace helped support up to his knee. It was light weight and designed to allow him some range of movement to not look so off. It had gotten a lot better since the attack from Jane Doe. Enough so that his acrobatics were looking almost back to normal, but he always paid for it in the morning.
He felt her hand upon his thigh a second time. He had notice her poke at him, but hadn't gotten it the first time. But then he figured it out. He turned right down the next road they came to. "Trust me, he's always had issues," Dick commented flatly. "As far as therapy...no thanks. If he wants to give the silent treatment, it's fine by me." Dick could be just as stubborn as Bruce and even more so. Something the Bat-family seemed to have in common.

Lifting her head, Selina couldn't disagree more. She had seen Batman with stress. That was near every night. But this? This was entirely something different. A whole new beast. "Well, then this is something else. Stress personified. Conflict." ..and not just the brooding, smoldering glares she got.
Reaching down to scratch at her own leg, her hand grazed his leg. It wasn't quite muscle that her gloved fingers touched; human muscle had give. This was...something else. Taking advantage of the turn, she shifted slightly and held to him.
"Did you fall wrong?" Selina inquired, almost too soft to be heard. Skilled in acrobatics herself, she knew how much pride even a simple injury could impair. As he artfully guided the bike, she pointed to another street, weaving them more and more into Gotham's seedy depths.

"Don't know what to tell you there," Dick replied. "I'm sure it will blow over." Focusing on the road, he lightly felt something graze his leg. At first he made nothing of the thought.
Though when he caught Catwoman's words, he had a feeling he knew what she was asking about. He had heard her. His attention was being more drawn to her than the road at times now. Dick remained silent for a bit as they got deeper into the Gotham darker side of the city. He followed Catwoman's signals as he drove.
"No, it wasn't a fall or anything like that," he answered back. "It's a long story." Dick didn't want to go into details of how he had failed to save two lives that night. And had possible left a dangerous being on the streets to continue the terror.
With the way things were going, Dick was holding back a lot of information, but it seemed Catwoman was getting some answers out of him. "Just a bad puncture," he replied, still not going into full detail of the injury as well. It would take a bit more than that to get the information she was seeking if she really wanted to know.

She just raised a brow. Oh how this family of sorts liked to downplay things. "Ah. The puncture would explain why your muscle feels deflated." She joked. Another point over his shoulder and she would ask him to slow a bit as they passed a building.
Derelict, it was barely standing. Prostitutes, homeless, you name it milled about. As they would pass on the motorcycle, she would say quietly to him. "There is something brewing. And if you and Batman don't get your shit together, things are going to get bad. Trust me. And if I'm going to risk my neck, AND my reputation, I'm going to need strong backup, not some cold-shouldering ex-partners."
Leaning down again, she would give him the quickest directions to get out of the shithole they were in.

"Deflated?! There's plenty of muscle there," he said defensively. "I would be walking around and performing as I do if the muscle was gone." Though his acrobatics he down sized the difficult to help put less stress on the leg. He couldn't keep putting all his weight on his left leg. No good would come of that in the end.
He followed her direction once again and slowed down. He looked over at the building. He hadn't been down in this part of town in a few days or so. And boy at night did the crowd of people seem to come out of hiding. He listened to her as she spoke. Her words piercing into his thoughts. Words he wouldn't forget. Catwoman didn't seem to be playing around about this. She was serious and he knew it.
Dick listened to her and sped up a bit to get out of that place. It looks like more trouble than he could handle that night on his own and on his leg. He was still restricting himself for Batgirl's sake. So she wouldn't worry so much about him out there on his patrols.
Once away from that scene, Dick spoke up again. "Easier said then done," he responded. "Batman isn't all that easy to work with. Let alone to talk to." Dick was frankly running out of ways to try and setting things with Bruce. Not even Alfred could help him on that. Dick had tried to keep Alfred and Babs out of this. It was his fight to be fought.
"So what is this trouble brewing that has got you on edge," he asked. Catwoman wasn't always one to get shook up by things so easily either. She seemed to usually laugh things off or just play it in her own little games.

Oooh. She's pricked a nerve, and it was clearly showing. If she could right now, she would purr. Instead she closed her eyes, rather pleased with herself. Even though she frequented the more seedier areas at night, the more distance between the bike and that building, the better she felt.
"If I told you, I'd have to kill you..." She said rather nonchalantly. Part of that was true. Especially if the other side knew she was feeding the Bat-family info. But they were starting to irk her, and well, she was sick of her fun being ruined. It made her nights mundane, and her encounters with Batman horrid.
"If you need me to get him out of his funk, let me know. Let's just say a nightclub has been brewing with nefarious plots. And if I get dragged into one more that doesn't have Eddie in on it, I'm going to flip...." She stopped herself. Her next words might get her into trouble, so she stopped.
Clearing her throat again, Selina rolled her shoulders back, leaning away from him. She had almost slipped up. Nearly. "So. If he needs to be distracted, I could give you the name of someone..." She added.

'Good luck with that," Dick replied in return. "I've had the best of the best after my head and I'm still here." Not saying any further into that conversation, he didn't need to challenge another person to go after him. It was hard enough what he did at night some nights.
Dick glance back at her when she said something about a nightclub and that the Riddler was a bit part in those meetings. "I have a hunch I might know what nightclub you're talking about," he said, it was only through talk he had heard of a few nightclub the crooks like to hang out at. "As for the Riddler, he actually plots without having to have riddles for everything," he mused at the thought. Maybe the Riddler actually had some what of a life outside his riddling games.
He felt Catwoman move away from him. He figure she must have thought she was saying too much by the way she had stopped her train or thought on the subject. "I don't know if a distraction is really going to help in this case," he replies, his mind set back on his driving as he turned down a road to the left.
"I'm not sending you in to fight my battles," Dick replied clearly. He didn't want to put any one else in the line of fire. "It's bad enough Batgirl is stuck in the middle of this. There is no reason to add another. Though unless you're thinking of being the distraction that is," he said, wondering if that was what she had been getting at. He knew there always seemed to be a thing between Catwoman and Batman.

"Really? I wouldn 't have thought a very localized themed nightclub would ever make a blip on your rador, Nightwing." Selina said dryly, her hand darting between them to point at the road. "Considering your luck, maybe you should keep your eyes on the road. Don't want another slip up. I don't think the rest of the Bat-family could handle Batman, and myself being moody.."
Scooting around a bit, she shook her head. The boy would never learn. Unless she could coax Batman out, to find her, she could never get him over his funk in general. "I have tried. It's not working. I know it's not my place, but find him something to do outside the costume'd gig. Get him on a vacation. Get him a woman if he doesn't already have one. Get the damn stick in the mud to smile. It may do wonders for everything else."

"Why would me slipping up put you into a mood," Dick commented as he looked on forward as some traffic was building ahead as they got more into the night life of this end of Gotham. "Never mind, don't answer that," he said a bit after. "I think I can put two and two together without you having to." He was only comment on the fact that he knew Catwoman and Batman seemed to have something between them. And if she didn't really think he had noticed...Then she must only been focusing on Batman when ever she had come across the dynamic duo.
Dick noticed in one of his side mirrors a vehicle that came from another road, come up behind them. He didn't give it much thought at first because that's what a lot of drives do when they want to go some where. And there was more traffic passing him to his left as he continued down the street. "So, you're pretty much telling me to try and find him a personality," he said half jokingly. "Trust me, he wouldn't go on a relaxing vacation until all the nut jobs are in Arkham and stay there." He weaved easily around a car ahead of him as it started to park, after he made sure there wasn't anything coming there way or behind him. He had gotten on to a three lane road with their side having the two lanes.
"And in case you haven't noticed...He doesn't smile a lot," Dick replied. "I don't think I can remember a time that he has. And even in his mood, I'm used to the silent treatment. Though the glaring could stop." He was being completely honest about the whole thing. And no matter how old Dick gets that look that Bruce gives could still give you the feeling that you wanted to just stay out of his way. But lately Dick had just been fighting against it and ignoring it. Intimidation was one of the only things the other vigilantes never seemed to master like the Batman had.
Dick continued down the same road, the same car still following them. He figured just shrug it off, he couldn't be that paranoid about things. "Actually there is one time he smiled and laughed about something and couldn't stop...And that was the one time the Joker toxin had ever affected him," he said sarcastically. He knew he was no help bring that. But he was only making his point clear.
Looking back in the mirror again, Dick decided to turn down the next road. And just as he did, the black car behind them did the same. There was something odd about this. The person had been on his tail for a while now and they just decided to come down the same street as he had taken. There wasn't much traffic ahead at the moment as they went down another three lane street with one lane with opposing traffic. "Hang on," Dick ordered her as he started to speed up a bit. The black car behind him did the same. "We've got company," he spoke up once more and started to go even faster on the motorcycle, the black car only continued to speed up as well.

Shifting slightly, Selina held on tighter, the traffic around them quickening. "No, he already has a personality...just...Shit. If this is what he has to deal with all the time, I can see why he is moody all the time. Don't go down that route. It's bad for picking up chicks. Not that I'm guessing you have a girlfriend, or...you know, boyfriend..." Selina grinned behind the visor, clearly giving Dick hell.
Shuddering at the mention of the Joker, she clung a bit tighter. It served to close the wind resistance, is what she told herself. But just remembering that episode with Jack and the SmileX rampage was enough to cause a thin chill down her spine. "Yeah. Quite a few folks were laughing and smiling about that, too." As the two were riding, she was keeping an eye out too. Just as he made another gear shift, he mentioned the car tailing them.
Breaking her hold, she straightened at the waist, swiveling to look back. "Good thing you noticed, too..." It was black, nondescript. Odd, considering they were both mostly in leather, and she had a helmet. No way to tell her identify, considering it was all black.
"You haven't pissed off anyone lately, have you?" She asked him above the hum of the engine.

"And for your information, I do have a girlfriend, not that it's any of your business," he replied flatly. A bit irritated that she was finding her way around to get more information out of his personal like that she didn't need to know. And just to settle the score..."Just like it's none of my business that you and the Bat have a thing for each other," he commented back, a smirk on his face. Knowing he might hit a nerve. Maybe it was a bad choice of words considering the woman riding with him had claws that she could literally stab him in the back.
Dick glance back for a second at the black car behind them. And then he looked back at the road. "Being a vigilante, it's hard to tell who you haven't," he replied. He knew his head was wanted by a few gangs in Gotham. Even though there were a few more than others that stood out to him. "You can't go turning over rocks with out upsetting what's around it," he said.
He started to pick up more speed and weaved around a vehicle that was in front of them and tried to put more distance between him and the other car. Though the other car just did the same as he had. "And I think I'd notice a moron who sends out goons in a car to chase me down," he said. He really wasn't sure just who it was. "If someone was really out to get me, I'm sure they'd hire a hit man," he replied. "This seems more like a warning."
Revving the bike even more giving it more speed. And as he did the black car only seemed to try and get closer. "Hold on," he warned her before he took a sharp turn down another road and raced down the street. The black car did just the same, though losing a bit of ground between them. It didn't take long before they started to step on the gas and were getting awful close to the back tire of the bike.

Selina laughed at that one. "I never denied that one, Boy wonder!" She teased, winking at him when he turned to glance at the car riding their ass. "I hear you on that one. I tip-toe the fence enough, trust me. Then again, I know enough on both sides to be a thread. Count your blessings!"
As they wound through the traffic, she glanced behind at the vehicle that was deftly following them, even through the traffic. "Shit." She swore to herself. It was too subtle to be any of the folks she'd pissed off, but still her mind was running through all the possibilities as she unsheathed one claw, working the strap free from under her chin. "If someone was after you, I'd hope they were a little more sly, too!" She called out, finally working it free.
This was a move she would pay for, but it would hopefully get them off their respective tails. It wasn't like they were a blantant target. But still, Selina called out "Keep your eyes on the road!" As she slipped off the helmet, twisting at her waist, a hand gingerly steadying herself as she tossed the helmet up straight a few inches.
With the speed they were at, it seemed the helmet almost hovered a fraction of a second before rocketing straight back, headed right for the windshield of the car. Not bothering to watch it hit, Selina reached for her goggles quickly, dark hair streaming behind her. Slipping them on, it felt better to be somewhat obscured, but she still felt exposed. Then again, it was a better choice than being ass-packed by a too frisky vehicle on the road.

Dick kept on driving as the spoke. The other vehicle was getting too close for comfort. "What does it look like I'm doing," Dick responded to her telling him what to do. He knew perfectly well how to drive these things. This wasn't the first time he had someone trying to go after him.
In fact, there were a few times when people had tried to ram him off the road. And he had performed some crazy stunts on with his motorcycle riding in his days crime fighting with Batman. He knew the risks of riding one of these, but it was a lot smarter of away of transportation when it came down to chasing down criminals.
Sure it was dangerous, but it was a lot more efficient. Dick didn't bother to ask what Selina was doing. He was more focused on the fact that they were heading toward a busy section. That and he could heard the sound the helmet smashing into the windshield. He didn't bother looking back. In his side mirror he could see a that their windshield had almost shatter with the hit from the helmet, but not enough to deter the men from coming after them.
The car behind them had swerved a bit with the impact and being blind sided by the attack. It didn't take them long to gain control and come charging forward at the motorcycle. The bike swayed a bit unbalance as the car nicked the hind of the bike. Dick was able to maintain the balance the first time. But these guys were upping the game a bit. "These guys seem to be more of a warning or a calling card for someone," Dick replied as he got the motorcycle into another gear and zipped down the road.
The intersection had a red light ahead and traffic was coming from the crossing road. Dick looked for and opening and watched for a second as he focused and blazed on through the traffic dodging around a few cars as they came at them. He was used to this, he had good timing when it came for looking for a opening to get away.
He thought for sure that would stop the car, but he was wrong. Second later the car just raced through the intersection. The other cars slamming their breaks. "Ok, so people slam their breaks for a car, but not a motorcycle. What logic," he said sarcastically.

Even the near shattered windshield was doing little to deter the car. Shaking her head in the wind, there was little she could do, especially at this range. While she had hand to hand advantages, there was little she could do with a whip or a claw on the back of Nightwing's motorcycle.
Thinking quickly, she really had to concentrate on her 'Cat-hate' list. There was Fries, of course, for the botched diamond heist, but no one glaring. Turning back to Dick, she shrugged. "It's a pretty awful calling card, if you ask me, 'Wing!" she was barely able to get out before the 'cycle started to wiggle beneath them as they were nicked.
Gritting her teeth, Selina closed her eyes behind her goggles. There was an intersection they breezed through, and still the car was hot on their tail. "You're got to be kidding me! Don't you have some sort of fancy Bat-Gadget to, do something?!" And then another car almost hit them, breaks squealing. "No. Most folks don't see motorcycles. It's why I ride at night. Less traffic." She retorted, parrotting back the same sarcasm.
