(Timeline of rp- Taking place a few days before Freeze's break in at Wayne Enterprises, AKA "Necessary Snowglobes"
Freeze returned back to his apartment, putting the keys down on a table that was frozen, his men were sitting on the couch drinking. Freeze had recieved a call from one of his old friends saying that Nora's condition was deteriorating. Freeze had done many things to get her better, and his cure was taking time. The tv was one and the Boyle was being interviewed.
Reporter: "Excuse me, so could you tell us about the new advancements in cryogenics and blood fusions" Boyle: " With the new tools that we have here, we are able to calculate the neceesary lifespan of fixing someone in cryogenics. We have been working tirelessly on alternatives to cryogenics but things are slow and money is your only friend" Reporter: "Where are you getting your financial backing from" Boyle: "Mr Wayne of course, the man is so brilliant and with our teams working on curing MgGregors syndrome. It shouldn't be too long" Reporter: "Thank you Mr Boyle. Back to Channel thirteen"
"Idiots!!!!!!" Screamed Victor, who grabbed his gun and fired it at the tv which now became ice. Walking towards the cold shell of the TV, Victor kicked, punched, and smashed what was left of it. His men in shock and awe as their boss destroyed the only tv. "Get out all of you!". The men walked away back into their rooms. Freeze grabbed the local paper and ripped it into pieces. He then walked toward the refrigerator and pushed a button. The pale, iron, heavy door unlocked and opened. Freeze took off his suit and put his gun down.
The room was large, scents of ice and flowers. In the center of the room was a massive tank that was filled with water so cold that it could kill a person in less than a minute of entering it. His wife, Nora, with her blond hair, closed eyes, and necklace floating in the tank. Victor walked to the tank as small tears came from his bitter face. They did not freeze but they could if he wanted them too. Doctor Gera came in, using the back door. "Victor, your wife's condition is deteriorating, I analyzed the serum you gave me and it won't work, the catalyst would kill her soon after her being alive.
I'm sorry, but there isn't anything I can do for her, not anymore" Victor was enraged, his mouth about to blast the doctor away like the blizzard he was. Turning toward the doctor, he grabs her and pins her to the wall. " That's not true. You can still help here. Your going to help me cure her, before you leave!" The doctor who was a good friend of Victors was getting antsy and didn't know how to explain it any further to him. Victor lets go of her coat and then goes back and watches Nora. Gera gets her things, "Victor, I truly did the best that I could. But the disease is only getting stronger. I'm sorry" Greta warmly goes to Freeze to comfort him. "Get away from me! Let me think" Dr. Greta realizing she is no longer welcomed frustrated and tired closes the door behind her, the heels imprinting the cold apartment as she leaves.
Suspended in the water, made Victor feel terrible. He could remember the day they met. Nora was so warm and friendly. Unlike anyone in his life. She genuinely cared for him, and him for her. They married and Freeze had bought a ring for her. He saw the ring on her finger twinkle in the glittering water. They did everything together. Memories of going to the park, movie, circus rides, the day of his promotion, birthday parties. All pictures on the wall. Freeze took out a recording, of the after party of the wedding. The video flashed on the wall, Nora smiling as Victor holds her. Freeze who was now feeling a level of deep sadness and pain slowly walks back to where Nora is, his hand on the tank, his feet now sliding to the lower platform. His head down at the metal ground. Tears slowly and painfully came down his face, like the tears of a storm that had already passed. "I failed you, my love. Please forgive me"
Freeze began looking at his experiments, and creating new ones each day. Analyzing the results and making tables and graphs. The paper on the floor was old, but it had an image of Dr. Nina Stenet, who used to work for Wayne Enterprises. She was acclaimed for breakthrough theories and research in the Science Field and recieving the gotham award. Freeze was a revolutionary figure in the world of cryogenics and one of the few who had worked with many of the worlds best scientists. So he knew talent when he read it. Though he was curious if she was more intelligent than the picture had shown.
Just then, Freeze's two polar bears, Shaka and Altra, walked in. He had trained both of these bears from their early ages, and they accompanied him on many missions and vacations to the Arctic. Petting them as they nundged Freeze for attention and love that was frozen. "I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have you" Fries, began rubbing their backs, while thinking about Stinet and Nora.

Meanwhile at Stenet Labs, Nina is doing what she's always doing when she's not sleeping or with Edward: medical research. She's no stranger to single-minded devotion to curing someone, it's just that it's spread over all of humanity instead of confined to one particular person. Of course, though broad, it's a much shallower feeling since she purposely avoids connecting with anyone who is actually in need of what she's researching - it's enough to know that there's someone out there. But, shallow or not, the feeling is enough to keep Nina in the lab whenever she doesn't have a pressing need to be elsewhere.
As much trouble as she's been in since reappearing, at the very least she was right about the effect moving to her own lab would have. She's been able to really throw herself into her work and, though she knows that it will take awhile for it to register within the medical community, she knows that the impact of what she's been doing already will be profound. And she's only just gotten started. She'd told Edward that she couldn't really do this without there being a big, neon sign on her back and she'll soon prove it. She'll be making a name for herself whether she likes it or not.
But then, even before all of this she already had - only it was confined to the highest levels of the medical research community. She has this apparent knack for knowing what she's talking about when others can only speculate or theorize. But then, she cheats. When other researchers have to do guesswork based imprecise readouts from indirect equipment and slightly faulty tests that take hours to get results from, she can simply touch what she's working on to get completely accurate results instantly. It's hard to calculate just how much time and effort she saves that way - especially when it comes to knowing what doesn't have a possibility of working before she's even tried it.
What she's working on now, for example. "I hate DNA," Nina mutters to herself as she abruptly sets aside the vial she was looking at.
Shawty glanced up from her own work. "Again?" she asked.
"Yes," Nina confirms, "I just can't seem to isolate the right gene - I need a break." She abruptly stands and goes into her office, figuring that maybe switching gears and doing a little paperwork would be good for her. Ironically enough, DNA is a little too small for her - the difference between the molecules that it's made out of are hard for her to read so, even though she's a lot faster at reading it than the time-consuming processes that others have to employ, it's still rather mentally draining and prone to more flaws than she's used to.

Freeze needed a break from his depressing life. He needed a microbiologist who was smart enough to give Freeze a second opinion about Nora. After getting the file on Stenet, Victor read all the documents and research within the next three days after the break in. Unfortuneatly she had resigned her position and had started her own research lab. A simple check online would reveal the address. Freeze checked the time, it was nine o'clock.
Freeze took apart his gun and adjusted the cooling equipment to make it more effective. Freeze's suit was getting an upgrade, which was ready by now. Putting on the suit, the coldness felt refreshing and strange at the same time. It had been years since the accident, and now he thinks his condition is "abnormal". His men were asleep, and he wanted to take Shaka and Altra with him, for support and an extra pair of companions. Freeze took the keys to the van, as Shaka and Altra sniffed the apartment then followed Freeze to the van. Putting both of the large polar bears in the van, and locking it. Freeze only speculated that she wouuld be working late and probably tired.
Billy using his computer had given Fries the address for the labs and her home. Leverage was useful in this transaction and he could use it against her if she resisted. Locking in the seat belt, and putting the keys in the ignition reminded him of when he first drove a car. His first day he parked perfectly yet had driven way to fast. The image made Freeze chuckle. The drive to Stenet Labs was comforting, the streets were somewhat noisy, but nothing unusual. Freeze parked at the front of the lab, the security cameras watching his every move. Freeze pointed his gun at the cameras and blasted them in a cold sheet that surely stopped the tiny film recording his movements. It would be the last thing the camera would film before it's icy grave. Altra positioned next to Freeze on his left and Shaka on his right.
Finally stopping to the office floor, no one was around. Painting and sculptures of scientific models everywhere. Freeze stopped at the door and knocked loudly.

Nina startles when there's a heavy knock on her door. A very unusual thing to happen since the only other person who should be in the building right now is her assistant, and her assistant wouldn't knock. She doesn't get up immediately, instead waiting just a few moments - that loud of a knock would carry to where Shawty is working, and she'll be able to tell what's going on based on how her assistant reacts to this.
But though her ears strain, there is only silence - but that tells her quite a bit. Given that Shawty is also her bodyguard, she can count on the fact that the young woman investigated the knock. And, if the person on the other side of the door was friendly, her assistant would have greeted them. If they were dangerous then Shawty would have done anything from confront them to yelling a warning to her. Silence means that Shawty peeked at the situation and then hid, which can only mean one thing: something that Shawty doesn't think she can handle but believes that Nina can.
Not wasting any more time, Nina moves to the door and opens it slowly, and her wide eyes indicate surprise. It's quite likely that Mr. Freeze and two polar bears are the absolute last thing she expected to see on the other side of the door. Still, she takes a breath to steady her nerves and seems remarkably calm when she simply asks, "Yes?" Of course, her mind is already jumping around, trying to recall everything that Edward had told her about him and trying to guess at what he wants. But since he was polite enough to knock instead of barging right in she can at least assume he doesn't intend any immediate harm, and that means she can afford to give him the opportunity to explain why he's here.

Dr. Nina Stenet was not as tall as the picture had made her look, but she wasn't shy nor was she afraid of getting her hands dirty in the work that Freeze was about to give her. Looking at her eyes, he could tell she was surprised that someone as Freeze came to her and not someone else. "Good evening, Doctor Stenet" Freeze walked in, Altra and Shaka behind him. Freeze heard a rumbling of a noise, the doctor wasn't alone tonight. "Shaka find out who else is here with us". The large polar bear sniffed the place then jogged to the place where Nina's assitant was, growling with his large jaw and his white teeth showing. Shaka and Altra were probably the most trained Polar Bears in the world, Freeze had made good on the training. Altra on the other hand had closed the door with her paws.
Freeze sat down in the chair. "I have heard much about you and your specialities in the science field. You must know that I also was a large figure in the science field. I have read your file and studied your motives carefully, and I'll think you will help me with the task that could be ground breaking to both our careers. I need you to help me find a cure for MgGregor's Syndrome, all of the stages. I have found cures for both the first and second but the third and fourth are much harder and with the lack of doctors such as ourselves around it is hard to find.. second opinions on the matter. You see my wife, Nora, ahs the disease. I have cryogenically frozen here, and have been working on a cure for the last fifteen years of my life. All I ask is that you assist me in creating a more universal cure with the formula I have now, and I will be forever grateful. And if all goes as I hope, you can ask me for a favor if you need one"
Freeze, thinking she was the doctor from the article, expected her to think about it in a short hour or two and come with him back to the lair to work for however long it took. Weeks, months,or years. Nora needed him, and he needed help. It didn't really matter if she said no, he would force her to do it. People usually needed a kick in the back to do things, he hoped se wasn't that kind of person. Though she was probably weak and naive in certain situations, like all doctors with a degree.

Nina stands aside when Mr. Freeze enters, wondering at how odd and yet not this seems. You'd think that after spending so much time with Edward the novelty of being around one of Gotham's major criminals would wear off but no, no it hasn't. Edward is just... different. On the other hand, she's always been more inclined than most to see people as people no matter how often they've made the front page - for good or for bad.
Nina's assistant gives up on her hiding place easily when the polar bear is sent to find her, simply standing from where she'd ducked behind a counter in the lab and indicating that she doesn't want to fight by remaining still and passive. She'd hidden herself in hopes of not being involved, not because she was going to do anything. Shawty, true to her nickname, is a very small young woman - no more than 4'9" - though she's much more capable in a fight than she appears to be. But she does, however, have the good sense not to try to put up a fight when it isn't necessary.
Nina, in the meantime, takes a seat when Mr. Freeze does, forcing herself to forget who she's talking to and instead listen attentively what he's saying. Of course, given what he's saying makes it all too easy for her to do that, especially when he mentions his wife - how can she not sympathize? Still, she has to remember who she's talking to, and it's all too easy for her to see just how driven this man is - alarmingly so. Cryogenically freezing the woman and spending fifteen years just on that? While she can admire such devotion, it also puts her an a very delicate situation now.
Reminding herself to be very careful with her words, she says, "I think it's remarkable what you're doing for you wife. I imagine there are few people in the world that wouldn't have given up." Always best to start off with an honest positive statement. "But allow me to explain what I do here: I do not specialize in any one disease or condition because my goal is to help as many as possible. That is all I care about: not money, not prestige, but to help everyone. So I'm not normally in the business of curing diseases that are both rare and very difficult because the work involved is high and the ultimate impact is very low. But I am willing to consult and offer my help on a limited basis if you do don't object to me using whatever I learn from you in my own research," she explains.
And as she says this she watches him very carefully, unsure of just how acceptable or not that will be to him and therefore unsure of how he'll react to those words. And given who he is there's a much broader range of responses she'd have to worry over than most.

Freeze turned his neck for a bit, listening to her response. She had answered in a way that caught him off guard, only momentarily. Her words were like fireworks on an iceberg, lame and overused. Victor looked at her with cold eyes hoping she would reconsider. "Well I'm glad your interested but this is a job that requires hours of research, experiments, and final execution of that plan. So no, a limited basis will not do. As long as you document your references such as me, you can use a small number of techniqus that I use. But I have hundreds of techniques, and with the intelligence that I have I have pushed genetics farther than anyone else in eighty-eight years. My techniques are unorthodox so be aware that the results are varied".

If Mr. Freeze hoped to intimidate Nina with his cold look, he's sure to be disappointed. Even as he so clearly indicates that what she's willing to offer isn't enough, it will take more than his anger to convince her to offer more. Actually, it's unlikely that he, whether he knows it or not, even has the means to get more out of her.
"I'm well aware of the demands of research of this kind," she replies, "But my methods are such that I require far less time than most - I can accomplish more in five minutes than many can in an hour, so a limited basis ought to be sufficient. And please refrain from assuming that I can't understand your work; while I'm certain it's very advanced, I have a certain talent for learning these things very quickly as well." Bold words for such a harmless looking woman, but if her serious expression is any indication she means every word of it.
"However," she's quick to add, "I don't expect you to take my word for it. If you'd like to see it for yourself, the evening is still young and you may have me for the rest of it if you want. But I have to be perfectly up front about one thing: your goal, while noble, is not my goal. Other things are far more important to me. Nevertheless, I can't imagine that you wouldn't be satisfied with what I'm willing to give if you knew what it entails - a little of my time is worth a lot." As she speaks she continues to watch, both confident and wary; it's a bit hard putting your foot down when you're unsure whether or not that will be tolerated.

Dr. Stenet was getting bolder with each minute of their conversation. Freeze admired that trait, but she had a breaking point, he just needed to find it. "Tell me Nina, do you have any associates in Gotham. Whether they be rogues or other doctors such as yourself" There was a chink in her defences, and while she was being humble her answers were double sided to say the least. "Isn't helping people your goal?, Isn't saving lives your goal? or are you so pre-occupied studying things in the lab like a college graduate that you don't have time to go work in the field!?" Freeze's patience was slowly running out,no more games, only answers.
Altra and Shaka were now sleeping on the floor, tired and most likely hungry. They loved big fish, and liked to swim alot. It took time for them to develop a bond with Victor, but it will last for a long time. Since Victor has been training them, as their bodies stay young with exercise and relaxation.
"Let me ask you a question, doctor. Have you lost someone who was the only person who treated you with respect, while all others despised you? Hmm? The person who would comfort you and talk with you, while others bullied or taunted you? Nora was the only person who loved me and treated me with kindness. And now no longer will I be able to go outside with the warm wind in my face. Once you lose yourself, you start to regret taking things for granted, things that will never change no matter how many advancements are made. I will never give up on Nora. Now I ask you for help, if you don't want to, then say so and I will leave."
Nora was Freeze's contact in reality before his accident. The memory of them talking in the library, Nora was a gifted author who was studying Literary criticisms and biographical penmenship, while Victor was taking the highest level science classes on molecular shifts, and cryogenic procedures. Nora never really understood the higher levels of science but she did enjoy it when Victor explained it to her, in simple terms. He enjoyed being read to and being taught the differences in writing and the levels of essays and ideas.
So it was only natural. He could remember their first kiss, they were watching the stars in Gotham Park. When she leaned over, and he kissed her. The kissing lasted about two minutes, but it made him stay in Gotham instead of leaving to go back to the motty and old house back home.

Though Nina can see that she's trying his patience, she's not one tremble and fear just because someone dangerous is angry at her. Indeed, she's quite calm as she says, "That's what I'm trying to tell you - your wife may mean the world to you, but to me she's one of many more who need my help. And as much as I'd like to help everyone, there's only one of me and I can only do so much. But though I can't say I've ever risked losing someone in the way you are, I do know what it is to love. That's why I do want to help you. All I'm asking is that it be on my terms. And, I repeat, I don't believe that you'd find them unacceptable if you knew how much help that is. But if you're going to demand more of me than that, then I'm afraid that I'll have to say no."
While there may be a weakness here and there in Nina's defenses, they are small, few, hard to find, and hard to reach even when found. She realized years ago that something like this could happen - someone demanding her to use her abilities to do this or that for them, whether they realized the true nature of them or not - so she's purposefully minimized everything they might try to hold against her. That's a part of the reason why she can be so confident now - the other being that she sees her way out of this situation if it goes south.

Again, she was trying to keep her guard down. It was that her terms were steep but they were diffinitive and could be modified. Terms should be simple not complicated, at least not yet. "Well Dr. Stenet, if we are going to agree on the terms, I want you to understand that you need to follow my lead, but also provide your own research and experiences because this process will take many weeks, if not months. I will also say that you will need to bring some winter clothes whenever you arrive at my headquarters, the temperature is very cold''.
Freeze again looked at her body language, it seemed too confident and relaxed. Freeze got up from the chair, his gun in his right hand, as he look's at the pictures, trying to figure out what her interests are. "Have you ever met Edward Nigma?" Edward was on Victor's mind, somewhat he was arrogant and annoyed Victor to the point of breaking Edwards hand. The man wasn't as intelligent as Freeze in science, nor would he ever be. But occasionally, he would "check up" on green man.

" I understand," Nina says easily. She's worked under other people before and, though it always rankles, she can deal with that. And they usually give her a lot of freedom once they realize that she knows what she's doing, but if not that simply makes working more tedious. The detail about winter clothes seems odd at first, but then she quickly realizes why: naturally his place would be made comfortable for him. " I'm going to need to bring my assistant, Shawty - I work a lot better with her than without," Nina notes. And while she's sure that Shawty isn't going to be happy getting dragged into this, Nina's not about to go anywhere without her bodyguard and it's also true that the young woman proves very helpful in research and lab work too. There aren't very many pictures in Nina's office - partly because she doesn't do much worth taking pictures of and partly because she's still getting settled into the place and decorating her office properly is a low priority. But she does have the things that Jean-Paul brought by: an obviously outdated photo of her with her family - parents, two married siblings with young children, but her on her own - and another that appears to be her among a group of other doctors - her graduating class. The diplomas on the back wall indicate that she got her education at a couple different colleges on the west coast, and there are a few small awards scattered around that indicate that she's been busy ever since then - but then the way they're simply left around like paperweights indicates that she doesn't really care about them. The only other thing in the office that might be personal is a large photo of a water droplet rippling the surface of a pool of water decorating the wall above the visitor chairs. His last question surprises her, but Nina simply answers, " Yes, actually." She knows better than to claim otherwise; that she was a witness when he robbed the museum months ago is a matter of police record, and the more recent incident where she was supposedly murdered in her apartment with him and the Ventriloquist spotted on the surveillance cameras made the papers. If Mr. Freeze wasn't already aware of that and testing her, she's sure that he wouldn't be pleased if he found out she lied later. Besides, the really important question is, " Why do you ask?" But, because he could be minimally aware that she's interacted with him before, the question doesn't particularly worry her.

Freeze understood the Doctor's terms and smiled with a hint of compassion, a rare moment. "Very good, I would like for you to analyze her condition tonight, and set up a work area next to the lab that I made down in my apartment. Altra and Shaka were now hungry, as Freeze threw two fishes into their mouths, which were eaten immediately.
She answered the question about Edward very quickly, odd that she knew him. Was she in a relationship? Maybe, relationships are useless one way or another if they aren't on equal terms. What did matter was if her relationship small or large would get in the way with the work ahead of her. If it did, then Freeze would take care of any loose ends that were stopping them from getting the work done. Though Edward was known to critisize all criminals, including Victor.
"I ask because I don't want anything stopping your work ahead, no calls, think of it as a private job. I don't want any distractions or interferences, regardless if Edward doesn't want you to do this. That isn't his say", It would be better if she came with Freeze with her assistant soon, so that she would be able to prepare and conduct research. "Bring whatever you need Dr. Stenet" The fact that she asked him first, meant that she was interested in the job, always a good sign. Another factor that would contribute to a friendly relationship, as Freeze had forseen that they would become friends.
Freeze continued thinking about Nora, her pulse was fine, but he knew that Stenet would need to analyze her up close. Freeze, took out his walkie talkie and pressed for James, one of his top henchmen, "James, Open the electrical box, and press the yellow button, the tank will open at the top and Nora will probably be up. After that get her to the bed and hook up the equipment and the tubes to keep her alive. Make sure everything is running and that she is stable, the computer also needes to be hooked up".. After a few minutes James responded, ["Done Boss"/b].

"He has no claim on me," Nina says truthfully, sounding annoyed. And one might think based on that response that whatever the interaction between the two had been, it hadn't been completely friendly. Actually, the annoyance comes merely because she knows full well that Edward doesn't see it that way, but as far as she's concerned until he's willing to say so in terms they both accept then it isn't a valid claim. But she also knows that while Edward will probably be rather annoyed with her for the inherent danger factor, if he has any sense he'll not interfere - if only to avoid letting anyone know that they've more than simply met.
She stands and, walking over to the lab area, she calls out, "Shawty?" And when her assistant comes over the two women talk quickly in quiet tones. As Nina expected Shawty isn't happy, but then again her assistant would probably literally follow her to hell and back - though she'll still probably gripe about it a little. The young woman leaves in an obvious hurry and, just to reassure Mr. Freeze that the young woman isn't up to no good, she comments, "She's going to my place to get some of my warm stuff - I don't exactly keep it with me this time of year." And though it might be more efficient to stop there on the way, depending on where Mr. Freeze's headquarters are, Edward did not literally spend a fortune getting her an apartment that nobody can find only to have her lead someone to it - even if finding the place is only half the battle.
Besides, she can gather together the supplies they'll need while her assistant runs that errand, though the truth of the matter is that Nina doesn't really need much of it. Anything meant to analyze anything is wasted on someone who can simply feel what's going on at the microscopic level. But she does need a few things that he's unlikely to have - her methods are probably even more unorthodox than his are - though she has the good sense to pack enough 'normal' things to keep Mr. Freeze from wondering at it too much. She'll probably be pushing it simply by how well she does her job as it is. And everything that she doesn't need, Shawty might, so it isn't a waste.
Fortunately, Nina's apartment isn't far from her lab, especially when traffic is light, so Shawty gets back about the same time Nina finishes carefully storing her equipment into a bin for easy carrying. The two women confer again for a brief moment, and then Nina returns to where Mr. Freeze is and simply says, "We're ready."

Freeze looked at his watch counting the time it took for Stenet's assistant, Shawty to get the things. After Stenet said "We're ready" Freeze nodded his head and then opened the door, "Altra.. Shaka, head to the van" Altra sleeping on the floor woke up and headed outside, with Shaka yawning and following Altra's lead. Freeze immediately walked out stepping into the "Follow me"Elevator with the polar bears and Dr. Stenet with her assistant. The air was cool when they walked outside, the glass automatic doors opening as if Victor was the king and Nina the queen, with ease and comfort.
Unhinging the tight lock on the van and opening the door, Victor began thinking of the procedures and mapping out a time frame for the procedures. Altra and Shaka jumped in the back of the van, laying down and sleeping for the ride. There were only two seats in the front and a large space in the back that could fit seven people. "Dr. Stenet, the seat in the front is yours, but your assistant will have to sit with my bears, they won't bite right now, they are very tired" Altra had been tired today, but shaka was only momentarily sleeping. For both had been working out heavily and fed late in to the evening. So once they got to the lair. Freeze would put them in their section so that they could rest. After Shawty gets in the back of the van with the things Dr. Stenet needs, Victor locks the back.
A light breeze pushes past the flag of the United States and the Gotham flag, though Victor cannot feel it simply because he has a helmet on. Though the trees shaking tell him that the wind is blowing. She must have been trying to single captain cold. Victor loved the wind, it calmed him down, or reflected his anger at times. It was unpredictable like Victor. Victor opened the door with the keys as the metal cringed and yelled out in shame, with a subtle grasp. Closing the door behind him and starting the young engine was easy, but driving in the rain was another. The lightning lit up the sky, as Victor accelerated, stopping at lights, while passing others. A flashback of Nora helping Freeze up from being beaten up flashed before him. He missed Nora greatly, and this image distracted him for a few seconds. Then the honking of a truck snapped the hypnosis, and Victor turned right, moments from being hit by the large truck.
