Originally designed by the man whose name this museum bears, this museum was once famous for its many exhibits, attracting throngs of visitors to its halls. A part of the most upscale area that became a part of Arkham City, it adjoins the Iceberg Lounge - which was, at the time of the announcement of the new prison, the ritziest place in Gotham City.

Near the heart of the Bowery, at ground level, the Jezebel Center was a hub of shopping, shopping, a quick pause for lunch, and even more shopping at one of the many retail outlets and eateries for years. The plaza and the surrounding shopping center have closed down due to its inclusion in the Arkham City project, forcing the many businesses housed within and around it to either close or move to another part of the city, but that seems to have made room for more unsavory characters.

The Bowery
While most of this portion of the city had become rather run down even before the Arkham City project, the Bowery had been the exception. Perhaps because it rubbed shoulders with the wealthiest part of the city, the shopping areas and other attractions of the district did very good business before everyone left to make way for the new prison. With its numerous balconies and walkways the whole area has a unique multi-level feel, originally meant to encourage foot-traffic.
